Friday Favorites

It's Friday again...I am linking up with Erika, Narci, and Andrea to share some of my favorites. I can't believe how fast this week flew by. It seems like we had something each night. Wyatt has been going to K 1/2 day since the beginning of the year. We have slowly started adding full days and this week was the turning point. He now goes to school all day every day. I am sure to some this isn't a big deal but it is for us. It truly has been what is best for Wyatt. I love that our school has been so helpful during this process. The growth he has had this year is more than I could ever imagined for him. If you are a parent it's always such a sigh of relief when you make a decision that isn't for everyone and you are nervous about it...but then in the end you find it was the PERFECT one for your family!?! Can I get an AMEN? LOL! With all that said though remember back to the first week of school, especially kindergarten...the tears, the crabby, the tired kid!?!? Yeah, that's Wyatt right now. With all that said we couldn't be more thankful it's the WEEKEND!!!

We had sweet and sour grilled chicken tacos and it was AMAZING! am not usually a big fan of pineapple in my dinner dishes but this one was really good, I haven't cooked anything of Mix and Match Mama's cookbooks I don't enjoy. I just ordered a 2 more of her cookbooks. If only amazon would hurry up!! Ha!

I have recapped Day 1 &  Day 2 also Day 3 of our Disney trip this week. I plan to finish up the recaps next week so if you are enjoying that then stay tuned. ;)

Also I can't share my favorites without mentioning this week Show and Tell Tuesday topic was sharing our favorite pictures. We were to only share 5....LOL!

I will end this week's favorite's with this picture from Monday night. Wyatt got to go to the Blue's game with the big boys. ;) They sat in a box and enjoyed being together. It was Wyatt's first game and he had a blast!

Happy Weekend!!

Disney 2017 - Day 3

We woke up on day 3 (Sunday) and had reservations for Ohana breakfast. We have done this character breakfast before and LOVED it! It's served family style with the famous Mickey Mouse waffles. They have "pog," a juice the kids enjoy. We love the Hawaiian decor as well!!

Ohana is located at the Polynesian. It does require a bus ride to get there from where we stayed...bus to Magic Kingdom and then the monorail to the Polynesian was our quickest route that day. The travel was only about 45 mins. from start to finish.

After breakfast we spent time at Animal Kingdom. We had FP for Kilimanjaro Safaris, Dinosaur, and Expedition Everest. We love the picture spot...notice no one in the background. ;)

For rides that day we started at Kilimanjaro Safaris where we saw a baby elephant running full speed ahead to her mama. It was the sweetest! Almost as sweet as these boys riding in the back of the safari truck...

Dinosaur...I think we are getting pretty good at remembering where the camera's are. ;)

Expedition Everest...This was one of the highlights of Sloane's trip. She has been waiting to ride this ride since last year. She BARELY met the height requirement (42") but we were all SUPER happy she did! She LOVED the you can tell from the pictures. She NEVER hangs on. The faster the better she says...

Cruz loves these wild tropical birds. They do fly overs throughout the day while in Animal Kingdom. The boys had to pose in front of the bird area...Wyatt is pointing them out in case you miss it. Ha! Too cool for school...these boys. ;)

After rides at Animal Kingdom we grabbed lunch at Pizzafari dessert was a quick girls run to Starbucks....

The boys took the kids over to the Dino playground area...we met them there and found this. ;)

After Animal Kingdom we decided to travel over to Magic Kingdom...

Mark and I took the kids to watch while Kyle and Shelly tried to add our name to the "Be Our Guest" dinner. It worked...they worked some magic and we got in. Surprisingly enough we had a prefect reservation. We were excited!! We hadn't ever eaten at Be Our Guest. It was perfect timing! Beauty and the Beast had just came out so the atmosphere was like none other. Wyatt loves the Beast. He says "he looks cute, like a big teddy bear."

After dinner we rode Ariel and a few other rides with short lines...

and we shut down the park before heading home for the night.
Sun up to sun down...the only way to do Disney!!! Thanks to the 2 separate umbrella strollers both kids climb in and we recline their seats back. We cover them with blankets and ask then to close their eyes.
They fall asleep and don't wake until the morning...HAPPY DISNEY DREAMS!!!

The week after Easter is the kids Spring break. We are taking them to Silver Dollar City. I haven't ever been (well, if I have I don't remember it) and Mark hasn't been since he was a kid. It's not too far from us so we are looking forward to time away as a family.

What I am watching/reading...

Mark and I are finally caught up on Homeland. I am not reading much lately. ;( That has been added to my goals for April. Wyatt and Sloane have been pretty much been watching Trolls and Moana on repeat. Well...we did go see Beauty and The Beast. It DID NOT disappoint!!!!

What I am listening to...

These 2 soundtracks on repeat. ;)

What I am doing this weekend...
Wyatt and Sloane have their last Upward games, basketball and cheer. Mark and I are participating in a Benefit Trivia night with friends on Friday. We have a family b-day celebration on Saturday evening. It's a busy weekend!!

Show and Tell Tuesday - Favorite Photos

Today we share our favorite photos...I am linking up with Andrea over at Momfessionals to share mine. At first I thought it would be hard to figure out JUST 5 favorites but I was surprised how quick they each came to mind.

I love pretty much every picture from our wedding but this one is super special. It shows almost everything....guests, friends, family, wedding party, pastor, Mark and I...and even how I had the center isle roped off so no one except my dad and I walked down it!! ;) *PERFECT* I remember that ceremony so well, even through all the nerves. I love having a picture with so much detail.

Us on our honeymoon, Kona, Hawaii...NOT a care in the world. Everything was perfect!!!
(even our bodies, ha ha!!!)

Then there is this....a picture worth 1,000 words or actually sometimes there are no words.

Oh our little buddy...I remember these photo shoots so well. When baby's are little you never know what you are going to get. (Actually with children in general you never know what you are going to get. ;) We got this one and LOVED it!! Well, we still love it!!! Look at that little face!!!!

This moment in time we knew our family was complete. Our little peanut pie had entered the world. For some reason I remember spending quite a bit of time alone while still in the hospital with Sloane. It was such a precious time for me. This picture reminds me of that time we spent together her first few days of life.

Even though I said I only had 5 I can't help but share this as my final picture.
No words needed...

Disney 2017- Day 1 & 2

We left last Friday morning for Disney World. This trip wouldn't be possible if it wasn't for Mark's brothers family. *Pretty much anything I know about Disney has been taught and learned through them. All the information I have and that I share is knowledge that I have learned from them.* We have THE BEST time visiting the MOST magical places on Earth with them. This was our 3rd March in a row to travel together. Each year it gets better and better...this year was no exception!! Memories are made that will LAST A LIFETIME!

Our flight was at 5:30 A.M. This is the second year we have had the early straight flight to Orlando. We used the Parking Spot valet and I don't think we will ever use anything else. It was great! We pulled up and unloaded our luggage from our vehicle and we might have touched it once more before we were in our room in Disney.

We made the kids sleep on the plane. No electronics...eyes closed SLEEP SLEEP SLEEP!! We needed them rested for the next non-stop 5 days! Thankfully we all slept. It was perfect. The picture above is in the terminal tram in the Orlando airport. Magic bands are on and we are ready to PARRRTTTYYYYY!!!!!

We loaded the Magical Express and traveled to our resort, Disney's Boardwalk. We loved it!! We stayed at Beach Club last year and loved it too. We love being able to walk to into a park. We take 2 umbrella strollers to the park and it works so well for us. We can divide when needed and each kid has their own space. Both strollers lay flat which works perfect for napping and/or the ride back to the resort at night.

We landed around 7am...8am local time. The ride to the resort isn't too long. We checked in and headed straight to the park. Note to others: if you aren't going to wait on your luggage be sure everything you need for the parks is in your carry-on. Anything you don't need you can leave with the bell man to take to your room with your luggage when it arrives. We had shorts packed but didn't need to change. The weather was perfect in jeans and lightweight shirts.

It was St. Patrick's Day (a.k.a. Green Patrick's Day, as Sloane likes to say). We took the obligatory picture in front of the castle before getting lunch. A crowd favorite for us is Pinocchio Village Haus....the chicken parmesan sandwich is AMAZING! ;)

After lunch we walked next door for a relaxing 3-D show, Mickey's PhilharMagic,as our food settled. Our first FP (fastpass) was Seven Dwarfs Minetrain. At the time it was Sloane's favorite was a great way to start the trip!!!

Next we enjoyed a LeFou's Brew at Gaston's Tavern. It was WAY better than I expected. Both Wyatt and Sloane loved it! We went to our second FP where some of us stayed behind (against our will--Sloane) to Space Mountain. Then can't miss the People Mover for a quick rest...while some of us grabbed some Starbucks.

We used our 3rd FP of the day on Thunder Mountain. We were able to all ride this together! We split up and some us too a minute to shop while others enjoyed the Enchanted Tiki room. When we all gathered back together we started walking toward Disney's Contemporary resort for our dinner reservations at Chef Mickey's. As a family Mark and I had eaten here in 2011. Wyatt was almost one and Sloane wasn't born yet. It had been a while and we were really looking forward to it.

The food was better than I remembered! It is buffet style with classic characters... normal, didn't disappoint...

We ended the evening with Epcot and riding Frozen Ever After for the FIRST time! It was AMAZING!!! A little shorter than what I thought it would be but still was AMAZING...

The next morning came early!! Mark and Kyle had the first tee time at Magnolia/Palm on Saturday morning. We took our time getting up and ready that morning. The rest of us got breakfast at Starbucks in Disney Springs before our Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique appointment.

We had plans to spend the rest of the day at Hollywood so the girls didn't want to be dressed as princesses the rest of the day. We opted Star Wars themed that day...and it worked well. ;)

It's so cute! I couldn't believe Sis picked this hairstyle. It was something she had picked out before we even got there. As much as she is our little princess she didn't pick a little princess look/hairstyle. ;)

This was the first time we went to the BBB in Disney Springs. It's in a new location and it GREAT! It was clean (not that it ever wasn't), organized, new, and so cute! There are awesome finishing touches that EVERYONE enjoys.

While the girls were becoming princess's the dad's finished golfing. They came and got the boys and started their walk to Hollywood but NOT before they were talked into renting a surrey bike. If only we could have been a fly inside that thing! From what I hear the boys didn't help much and the dad's still claim they "took one for the team." They rode the bike and grabbed a bite to eat at Wolfgang Puck Great Cafe.

They continued to wait for us ;) (we grabbed some pretzel snacks before leaving Disney Springs) and they had a chance to meet Kylo Ren. Even though it doesn't look like it I hear the boys loved it...his force is pretty powerful from what I hear....;)

*FYI: in the Star Wars Launch Bay there is an area for Disney credit card holders can don't know what character you will meet but it's a short wait and such a fun surprise! *

We finally met back up with the guys in time to get on our Tower of Terror FP. Tower of Terror is Sloane's favorite ride. ;) I don't think she EVER hangs on....(back left corner, all you can see are her arms and hands)

After Tower of Terror we used our FP to Midway Mania (the Toy Story ride), and ended on Star Tours. We also spent some time in the Launch Bay. We enjoyed dinner at the Sci-Fi Dine-Inn Theater restaurant. This was our first time eating wasn't our favorite but wasn't terrible. Wyatt wasn't a big fan of the movies but we did have a good time. They enjoyed sitting in the cars and getting shakes instead a drinks. ;)

We concluded our evening watching the Star Wars: A Galactic Spectacular. The show is a firework and laser show projected onto the Chinese Theater. As we walked home there were quite a few lightsaber fights had by all...

That concludes Day 1 & 2...stay tuned for the rest of the trip.
