Apple Watch

I have an Apple Watch and I LOVE IT! I love reading articles, blogs, and watching videos that show/teach me new things about my watch. People ask all the time if I like the Apple Watch...or what the pros and cons are of having an Apple Watch. I thought it was time I wrote a post myself.

First things first though...to be clear I an NOT a techy person, like at all! Hence the reason I have to use videos and blog to learn new things about my watch. LOL! I currently have 3 different bands for my watch. Just for reference, I have the 42mm watch. The bands are super easy to change and there are a million options out there. A person would never be limited to just one "style" or one "look."

In the beginning I found myself just using the watch to check the time and to screen my phone calls. As time has passed I find I use my actual phone less and less and my watch way more. You can answer your phone using your watch. I can continue what I am doing (like switching the laundry downstairs), answer my phone and being talking without missing a beat.

We don't have a house phone so another feature I love is the "ping your phone." All I have to do is swipe up on my watch face and click the icon. My phone starts dinging until I find it! It's awesome. There have been many times I am in a rush and can't seem to find my phone anywhere and this has come in handy for sure!

My newest find is that covering watch face with your hand will silence phone calls...sweet and simple but a total game changer for daily usage.

The activity tracker is super fun! I have found the "snugger" (I know that's not a word;)) the watch id to my wrist the better heart rate read and better step counter read you get throughout the day. We also found if you are the one pushing a stroller you will not get as many steps counted as the person walking next to you. ;)  This isn't something I was really interested in in the beginning but as time goes on I have started using it more. I have alerts each day reminding me and giving me my current stats. There is a "move," "exercise," and "stand," trackers. It's fun to compare my steps and such from day to day plus Mark has a FitBit counting his step as well. We like to compete compare! LOL!

Another newer feature I learned is if you double click digital crown you can go right back to the last app you were using. I like this because if I have to stop what I am doing for a second and help a child...or two...when I am ready to go back to what I need to do I can pick right back up where I left off. No time wasting!!! Major pro in my book!!!

The main screen on the watch can have most of the same apps as your phone. I use the maps app a lot because the watch actually vibrates when you need to turn...AWESOME feature! I also like the map my run app on the watch. It's another app that tracks your workout and such.

When I tried to think of the things I don't like about my watch I really could only come up with one. I do really wish it was waterproof, not just water resistant. We spend a lot of time at the pool and I just don't feel comfortable having it on while we are there.

Well, there you have it! A recap about my watch!! I would love to hear any good tips or some of your favorites about the Apple Watch.
