Our "Buddy," I can't believe you are SIX years old. (5-30-16) It's so crazy that it feels like yesterday we were bringing you home from the hospital...all 5 lbs of you! It's been such a fun year watching you grow. You have such a tender heart and care deeply for others and their feelings. You are very concerned with making sure you do things the correct way and do not like getting in trouble.
The love you have for your sister is so deep. I pray the relationship you have with each other continues to grow. There is a bond I never thought was possible! Because you are so close in age Sis plays with your friends at school as well. (So far you guys are so so sweet to her, LOL!) Most of your friends call her "Sis." I know she loves it so much!
You are currently LOVING all things LEGO and Star Wars. The collection is growing and it's been so fun to watch you really get into something and be creative. You build things on your own as well as follow the directions. You are perfectly content sitting at the kitchen table building LEGO's for 2+ hours and it's perfectly fine with me. ;) You also love doing anything that involves water. This will be the 3rd summer you haven't needed floaties at the pool but this summer you can officially touch the bottom of the shallow and your ENTIRE head is out of the water! It's crazy!!! You jump off the board, get diving sticks, and even cannon balls to try to splash us anyone sitting on the side.
Wyatt you have been growing physically as well... you are 46 inches tall and weigh 41 lbs!!! You are wearing mostly sz. 6 clothes (there are a few 5T that still fit) and a size 11 shoe. You get more freckles everyday! You could love it if you could wear a t-shirt and Nike shorts with flip flops every day...ha ha! Don't we all?!?!?!
A few weeks ago you read your first book all by yourself. The growth we saw academically this past year was tremendous. Pre-K was a big year for you! You have since read a few more books and love it! We have really been talking about Kindergarten in the Fall and explaining you will go to school every day of the week and have to wear a uniform as well. You seem to be excited! We know it will be an adjustment for all but we are looking at it with all smiles. (and NO TEARS ;/ from ANYONE)
This year you decided you wanted a Scooby Doo party. It's not a cartoon you watch a lot but you built the LEGO Scooby Doo Mystery van ALL BY YOURSELF and have loved building a few more Scooby Doo creations. Once you have your mind set you usually don't change your mind much. So Scooby Do it is ;)
Wyatt, we love watching you grow. We are so thankful the Lord has entrusted you to us...we pray you continue to grow closer to him so others can see how much you love Jesus!
