We are back from another AMAZING Disney vacation! We can't thank Kyle and Shelly enough for such an awesome time!! We made memories that will last a lifetime!!! I am going to post the trip in 5 parts...one day at a time. They will all be full of pictures #sorrynotsorry and details about our days. ;)
Once the guys are off work we didn't want to waste a minute so we took the 5 a.m. flight out of STL headed to Orlando Thursday morning. We landed before the parks were even open. ;) We have a pretty good system for airport travel as a family. We changed a few things up this trip and allowed the kids to carry their own backpacks. For anyone who knows Mark you know this is a big deal. Ha ha! Thanks to the GLORIOUS Magical express system we got off the plane and right onto the bus...no luggage involved! It's about a 40 min. ride but it went by so fast because we were all so excited! I don't know why there isn't an airport on the Disney property yet- it would be so much faster. #nooneaskedme
We stayed at Disney's Beach Club Resort this time...it's by far my favorite place we have ever stayed. They are in the process of updating the buildings/rooms. Thanks to Shelly working her magic we stayed on the side that was completed. The rooms were AWESOME. The room had a queen bed, a pullout bed, and a hideaway bed as well. It was clean, we had our own balcony and had the perfect amount of space.
Since we were on the meal plan (*a MUST for Disney goers that plan to enjoy any character dining*) we picked up our rapid fill mugs in the gift shop and dropped off our carry on bags in our room. We changed from our travel clothes and into our Day 1 attire. LOL! *Shelly and I made all the kids shirts ourselves. #ittookforever #weareprosnow
One of the amazing things about staying at Beach Club was it's location. We hardly ever had to take transportation which is awesome when you have 8 people and 2 strollers plus all the personal items that comes with that. ;) Day 1 we were headed to the park around 11:00. Epcot was the plan for day 1...it's about a 7 min. walk to the entry. The weather was unbelievable!
We were all pretty hungry so our first stop was for lunch. We ate lunch at La Cantina de SanAngel in "Mexico." It's so nice that the kids are old enough to sit at their own table together. The food was soooo good! We all felt refreshed and ready to go after eating...Gran Fiesta Tour, Mission Space (orange), Test Track (w/FP), The Seas, Figment, and the Character Spot (w/FP) kept us busy that afternoon. Ariel and Sloane picked their pearls at Mitsukoshi Dept. store and both chose a necklace setting. We had reservations for a late dinner at Tokyo Dining. This trip we enjoyed some dinners we hadn't tried before. This one was AWESOME.
We ended the first day by watching the firework show on our walk back to the resort. We had perfect view with no one else around. It was a great way to end day 1....
