Christmas day was a travel day for us. We arrived late (even later "body time"), checked into our room, and finally fell asleep after a busy day. All the excitement was still there the next morning as we left for breakfast. We had reservations for a character dining at Plaza Inn. It was really busy but we still enjoyed it! I loved all the characters were still dressed in their Christmas attire!!!! *I do have to mention we weren't in the park 2 mins. before good ol' Aunt Shelly had decided we all needed some Minnie ears! ;) LOL! I have to say it made for good pictures all day!! (*The matching shirt came from Hoop & Thread - she is AMAZING!!! She created the design and put them on the shirts.)
*Disney tip #1- meal plan is worth it...if you plan to do any character dinings. Tip #2- character dinings are the way to go...you avoid waiting in line with everyone else out in the park to meet the characters. They spend one on one time at every table and pose for as many pictures as your heart desires. You are welcome in advance.
After breakfast our bellies were full but that didn't stop us from hitting the park hard one day 1...
We pretty much rode everything possible! We would divide and conquer as much as possible. Disney Land doesn't have magic bands yet so we still had to grab paper fast passes...it wasn't too terrible. LOL! Sloane and Wyatt rode everything they were tall enough to ride. It still amazes me how brave they are and how much they LOVE GOING fast! Shelly and I even went with the "big kids" on a ride that went upside down. Yikes, I know!!!
Not only is Star Wars HUGE every where right now Disney Land has a new Star Wars area. It was super neat to see and the kids all LOVED it! (Well, except for Sloane who slept through most of it.) We had pictures taken, rode Star Tours, and even stopped for a BB8 drink.
As you can tell Day 1 was a HUGE success!
Stay tuned for pt. 3 CA Adventure Park @ Disney...
