Trials and struggles

I know yesterday I shared an e-mail my mom sent me. I also found this one from July and couldn't not share...

For a type-A person like me I needed this so much. The holidays are coming up and I feel like the calendar is already about to explode! It makes my skin crawl just looking at it. There. Is. So. Much. I say every year we aren't going to do it all but that doesn't seem to happen. We aren't those people...we have decided quality over quantity this year. We have to...time is precious. Family is important. We are raising children, like we are right in the middle of it or well- I guess some would say right at the beginning but either way I want our children to look back at the "holiday season" and not just remember going non-stop but remember fun times with family and friends. I want them to remember traditions. I want them to love this season as much as I do. I want them to remember more than just our "little family" because that's what Christ wants. He wants us to spread the cheer. I want my children to see that in Mark and I through this season of JOY! I want to be JOYFUL!!!!
Take a second and read:

"It doesn’t matter how much we may try to plan our lives and destinies to run along a perfectly straight path ... life happens! Trials and struggles simply will come our way. When we choose to endure rather than throw in the towel when times get tough, we will certainly be on our way to fulfilling our God-given destinies. So where does endurance begin?
It begins with our words.
Our words have a significant impact on our lives.
Proverbs 18:21 says, Death and life are in the power of the tongue, and those who love it will eat its fruit (NKJV).
Our words contain great power, and when an unexpected storm rises up to confront us, how well we endure it is often determined by the words we speak. Instead of giving power to our fears, let’s speak life over our situations, our finances, our families, our marriages and our relationships. Our words are a creative force, and through words of faith, we CAN speak life into every circumstance!" -Christine Caine

I always love what you'll have to say...thanks for stopping by!
