With him gone I knew we needed to fill the weekend with fun! The kids are at an age where they know routine and our family schedule. They missed their Daddy...a LOT!
Friday after school we ran a few errands and had a fun lunch. We enjoyed the pretty weather too! Sis and I bake some cookies for a family reunion we had the next day. It's not every day you get to bake with a ballerina. ;)
We had a few last min. details to finish for our Grandparent's Day gifts so we took advantage of an open evening and completed them. They had so much fun filling out the question's about their grandparent's...they said some of the funniest things! We "sent a hug" as well as used this printable from Paging Supermom. It was a hit!
Saturday morning we had breakfast and got ready for the day. We had a family reunion (on Mark's side) to attend. It was low key and in a park near our house. The kids HAD A BLAST!!! There were so many fun activities and other small children to play with too!
Sunday morning we managed to get ready and to church on time! This mama was tired by the time Sunday morning rolled around...
We enjoyed an awesome church service. After church we drove down to Jackson, MO. Eesie and Poppie were having a #framily bonfire. I took way too many pictures to add it to this post. ;) It will get it's own post in a few days. LOL! I mean, look at this picture below (Thanks Sister). Those are 3rd generation friendships happening right there people!!! If that doesn't make your heart happy nothing will!!! It sums up the afternoon we had...PERFECT!!!!
We ended the weekend on such a great note. We drove back to STL at bedtime and Daddy was waiting on us!!! I made another successful "double transfer" (because isn't carrying sleeping children in from a fun filled day what it's all about!?!?) and enjoyed some time on the couch next to Mr. watching Sunday Night Football!!!
I hope you had an amazing weekend as well!!! Happy Monday. ;)
*Stay tuned tomorrow for an AWESOME online fundraiser for Women's Cancer*
