We had such a great Easter with family. Friday we headed down to Jackson and got there mid-afternoon. Sloane was able to take a nap in the car so she was ready to play! (Her naps are few and far between so it was nice for her.) Zetta and Nora were at my parent's and ready to play as well!
Friday afternoon Eesie took them all on an "adventure." They had a blast looking for outdoor treasures! Friday night we had a family dinner. It was fun to have us all home and together. It hasn't happened since Christmas so it was so enjoyable! (especially for my parent's ;)
Saturday morning we celebrated Baby Nora (post coming soon). My parent's attended a visitation for a dear friend's father 2 hours away. The were back by the afternoon. Sat. evening we dyed Easter eggs together, played on the swing set, my dad changed the oil in our car *OH YA!* and Wyatt helped!
Sunday was perfect! We went to church with my family...we were able to all sit together during service. After church we went back to my parent's for lunch.
The Easter bunny hid some eggs for the kids so they had a BLAST hunting eggs. We visited with family until about 1pm. We loaded the car back up and headed back to STL for festivities with Mark's family.
Once we got to STL we had a few places to stop before heading to Mark's uncles house. We let the dogs out and dropped off some luggage. We went to the nursing home and visited Mark's grandma, Great Maw Maw.
We also went to the cemetary to visit Ryder's grave. I think Easter is one of the tougher holidays for me as far as the "loss of Ryder." I remember so much through the pregnancy and "making it to Easter" was a big deal. I was the size a small whale ;) by then and traveling was a little tough. We saw family and visited friends. I remember the clothes I wore and how I felt. I remember conversations from that day and often see pictures from that specific Easter. It's just bittersweet, that's all....
I can't believe I don't have any pictures from Mark's side celebration. There are a lot more people and a lot more chaos (in a sweet way) so I didn't get to snap photos. We had a great there as well! The kids played with their cousins and we enjoyed dinner together! Another Easter for the books...;)
