Where dreams come true...

A few months ago Mark's brother called to tell us they were taking us to Disney! We can't wait for the kids to all be together while being in Disney! It's going to be an AMAZING (and fast) 4 days. We are leaving in 15 days...

We waited a few months before we told the kids. We didn't think we could wake every day for 4 months with the same question..."are we going to Disney today?" LOL! The night we told them we had a special dinner. It was so cute! They all had so much fun!

We made our family countdown a few days ago...we decided 20 was a good number to start...;) They picked the images and wrote the numbers. They love counting down and have enjoyed taking turns crossing the numbers off each morning!

We are so excited! The trip is planned and so much fun is to be of the best details!?!?! We will be there on Sis's REAL birthday and will be eating dinner at "The Castle!" I am pretty sure she is going to have the BEST 3rd B-day EVER!

Wyatt and Sloane love making crafts. Most of the time this consists of markers, scissors, and glue...they have been making lots of Disney related cards lately. Wyatt decided to make an airplane with us all on on way to see Mickey!

1950's Diner themed party

Mark's parent's turned 60 this year...we decided on a 1950's theme party since they were born in '55. We had so much fun planning, brainstorming, and setting up for this awesome night!

We came up with some fun games as well, all having to do with the 1950's trivia. I can't forget to mention "costumes were encouraged" as well.

We used the "sock hop" items as well as the diner look. We served burgers and french fries as dinner. Floats and whoopie pies for dessert. There was cake too! ;) The prizes for the fame winners went with the theme as well. They included a slinky, silly putty, etc.

Take home favors included a glass bottle of coke and a record shaped cookie. We used the entry table to display so friends wouldn't forget.

The candy table was my favorite part! We had it set up as soon as friends entered the was all candy circa 1950's...

What party is complete without a photo booth!?!? There was a timer set up so everyone could take their own was so much fun! (I am so thankful Kelley and Tyler have been included as "part of the family.")

Despite the crazy weather it's safe to say everyone had a great time celebrating such an awesome couple we get to call our family/friends...

Thanksgiving ( A little embarrassing)

I can't believe I never posted these pictures...I don't want to skip over it even though time as has passed. Feel free to skip over this post if you aren't feeling in the "fallish" mood today. Ha ha!

I didn't really take a lot of pictures this year from Thanksgiving but the ones I do have are special. My Grandma was in them in front of the fireplace with my cousins. That's how I spent ALL my Thanksgiving's growing up and I am so happy our kids get to do the same.

Our little Lou

I can't believe Sloane is turning THREE in a few weeks...that's big time. LOL! I still have vivid memories of Wyatt turning three. I guess having kids 20 months apart will do that to ya. ;) She truly makes our family complete and is quite the entertainer. She is so beautiful and the smile will stop anyone in their tracks...

*Just a few recent pictures of our "Lou."

Happy New Year!

We had a blast ringing in the new year with our BFF's! It's so fun to spend these fun holidays with friends....

Kelley and Tyler had an awesome party. The kids had a blast and were able to head to bed comfortably (even though we weren't at home) and the adults continues to play! ;)

There were lots of games, food, and good laughs throughout the night. I hope there are many more fun New Years as a family with such great friends!

Gotta love a good self timer picture ;)

Valentine Weekend Fun...

I know I have still been posting random Christmas posts but I don't want to get behind in our current happenings either. ;) We had such an awesome Valentine's weekend! The weekend before we had the stomach bug so we were all ready to PARTY! LOL!

The weekend started with Wyatt's Valentine party at school...always such a good time with friends. He loves having his mom in class with him too!

We just couldn't resist this amazing and cute pizza (and brownie) so we ordered it a night early...

And since we were really concerned of what we were eating, ha ha, Sloane and I snuck out to grab the boys donuts on Valentine's morning. She thought we were being so sneaky. It was so much fun to do with her! She served them in bed. ;)

We worked on our kitchen reno ;/ and enjoyed time together during the day. That evening Mark's sister was flying solo on her last Valentine's day before her wedding (thanks to his bachelor party) so we invited her to join our evening of fun! The kids built fun wood projects with Aunt Kiki's help. We enjoyed heart shaped pasta with garlic bread and salad. The kids were in bed on time so Mark and I enjoyed some time with Aunt Kiki. ;) It was a perfect day!

Sunday we went to church, lunch with family, finished our kitchen backsplash
(post coming "someday")...

and then Mark's brother's family came over for dinner. It was a fun filled family weekend. We were ready for Spring and woke up to snow, ice, and lots of closings....hmmmm.

Mama Day

My mom surprised me one random Tuesday and pampered me for the day! It was so much fun to get time with JUST her. Conversations weren't interrupted, I got to eat my entire lunch...and we even enjoyed a relaxing pedicure!

We walked around fun little shops and did a little shopping. It was fun going to places I don't get to go. The little Tea Room where we had lunch was perfect and the food was awesome! I pray get to do this and make it a point to enjoy time like this individually with my children. She is such an awesome example of a mom!
