Santa Claus is coming to town...

The weekend before Christmas Sloane had a Christmas dance recital. Since she is so young she is in a little dance class at our local YMCA. She started when she was only 1...but LOVES it so much! She started this class in Aug. It will go until May...it's a 3-5 year old class but she is doing awesome. We are planning to join a studio Aug '15 if she is still loving it...

(I added arrows pointing to Caroline and Sloane. ;)

They had 2 performances. There was one tap and one jazz. Sloane was so excited! Each dancer got to bring one of their small favorite toys. She choose her Minnie. ;) I know I am bias in the above picture but I don't think she could be any more perfect!

Christmas Day (pt. 1)

Christmas Day just keeps getting better and better. It's SO much fun to watch your kids Christmas morning. I know this is so cliche but I have seen this quote going around social media but it's so true...

We spent Christmas morning at our house. (post coming soon) Christmas Day afternoon we headed over to Mark's Aunt and Uncle's house with his mom's side of them family. We, as a family, switch each year so we are able to see each side of family ever other year. It's a lot of travel but totally worth it to see everyone! I can't imagine never spending Christmas with some of these amazing family members!

One of Mark's cousin's is being deployed in a few weeks. There were tears shed as we gave him a gift from all of us...so proud of Sean and his dedication to serve our country! COUSINS!!!! ( This year was pj's Christmas. It was nice not have to get "all dressed up." LOL!)

One of Mark's cousin's just had a baby...I don't know who held her more...Wyatt or Sloane?!??!?

Older boys got air soft guns...they brought their gear and guns. Wyatt thought it was so cool! He spent time outside with them and even had his own chance (with help) to shoot it. LOL!

It was a great Christmas Day with some of Mark's family...I love watching the relationships of family members grow. ;) It was a Merry 2014 Christmas Day!

Going to the chapel...

Phew, it's been a crazy week. I am sure EVERYONE feels the same way...we had an awesome week with friends, family, traveling, good food, and celebrating Jesus's birth! This past weekend Wyatt had the privileged to be the ring bearer in my cousin's wedding. Zetta was the flower girl. Her and Wyatt walked together. It was so beautiful!

Friday night was the rehearsal dinner...killing some time before the "little's" needed to practice. (Don't mind Wyatt's socks, we drove straight there from STL and changed into our clothes in the parking lot/car. )

I mean seriously...suit coats for little boys...NO WORDS!

We had to be at the wedding early to take pictures. The kids weren't really feeling it...if you can't tell. Sis slept through the entire wedding. Wyatt played on Mark's phone when he wasn't walking the isle. ;)

Congrats Corey and Alyssa!! Love you!!!

Taiga Party

Last weekend we attended Wyatt's taekwondo Christmas party! It was so entertaining. The team performed and kept everyone's attention for sure. I was great time with some of his new friends too.

All the little kids were able to sit close to the mat and watch...I am so happy Wyatt enjoys this so much! They even had all the smaller kids take a turn breaking boards. Wyatt was a little skiddish at first but like anything else didn't want to stop after he have it a try! LOL!

Friday Funday...

We have created Friday's to be a fun day around our house. ;) Mark doesn't work Fridays so it's always a fun day to spend together as a family. The kids are usually already asleep by the time he gets home on Thursday nights so they are ready for some Daddy time for sure!

Last Friday we used our AWESOME Magic House membership card and spent the part of the day playing there. It's always so fun and never gets old! They have so much that changes weekly...the kids were able to run off some energy for sure!

Mark hadn't been a while so he enjoys the stuff just as much as the kids...or more! ;) They loved showing Daddy all the "usual" stuff they do!

We went to lunch at a fun place as well as visited Santa. We had NO tears this year! Sis wants a  "dolly" and Wyatt wants "walkie talkies." Thankfully, I think Santa has it easy this year! And a few comparison photos just for fun...

Teacher Gifts

Another teacher gift...hmmm...I feel it's a gift we all stumble around trying to buy. Since I was once on the "receiving" end I think I stress a little more. I don't want to buy something that's going to go straight to the trash. I want something that takes thought and something that can be used daily.

I think it's safe to say we nailed it this year. ;) Thanks to the awesome GB's Designs for helping put my idea together. She made the cute initial cup sleeves. They are a great material that will stay looking new! The cups are the $2 reusable cups from the one and only Starbucks...lastly a fun cup gift card to Starbucks as well. I love the way they turned out! Hope you all created something sweet for the special people who spend time with your little.

Hot Chocolate 15K

Last weekend I ran the Hot Chocolate 15K with my parent's. I have been training since Oct. and was super excited to run. My parent's participated in this event last year and had a great time!

Sat. afternoon we went to the expo. to pick up our packets and to enjoy some chocolate! It was so fun! The kids had a blast as well.

There was hot chocolate and marshmallows for everyone. Obviously the kids loved it...

Before the run...

After the run...

I can't wait to run another race! It was so fun! The weather was great and we all had fun. Bring on the running in 2015. ;)

Wyatt's Preschool Christmas Program

I love that Wyatt's preschool does a Christmas program. It's such a special time! The families and friends gather to watch them sing their cute little songs. Wyatt talks about it for weeks before...I really think it helps him understand more about putting the CHRIST in Christmas. (I know that sounds so cliche, but it's true) Afterall, he attends a preschool who bases everything they do around Christ and we love it!

Such a handsome boy! He was so excited...much different from all the tears last year! This year he knew all the words and stood from and center to sing. It was so sweet!

And just because I love to compare from year to year...

Christmas PJ Party and cookie contest...

A few weekends ago we attended a FUN Christmas PJ party as well as a cookie contest. It was such a fun party. It was fun to be with friends and the kids had a blast! All the cookies were super yummy too!

There was a fun table set up for the little's to create. There was ornaments and coloring paper too!

There was a photo booth set up and it was so cute! We all had a blast taking pictures...I love that we also set a timer and we got a group picture! ;)

We are enjoying the 2014 Christmas season so much! This time of year is so fun to spend with family and friends...and we are doing JUST THAT!

Strike....

Last weekend, among many other events, we attended Jacob's 5th b-day party. The kids were SUPER excited for this party. It was at the bowling alley! They could NOT WAIT! Wyatt knew exactly what day we were going...according to the advent calendar of course. ;/

The had a blast. It was so cute and they love being with all their little friends!

They had bumpers and Mark even got the ramp for them so they all thought they were soooo cool...and good!! LOL!!! It was so cute!!!

There were lots of kids there and the adults joined in the fun as well! We had our fun bowling before heading into the party room with Jake! He opened presents, we sang to him, and they all even got to color!

Thanks Jacob for a GREAT party...we can't believe you are FIVE years old!!!
