Creation Station Playdate

I know I mentioned it a few posts ago but we were SUPER bust last week! It was a fun week but a REALLY busy one as well. We saw lots of friends and did some awesome things so I am trying to play "catch up" with the posts this week. ;)

Last Wednesday we had a play date with some friends from back home Jackson. They were up visiting family and doing fun things around STL. They were so sweet to include us during this time. It's always so fun to meet people we don't get to see very often.

The weather was being a little unpredictable so we decided to play it safe with a Creation Station play date. It's such a fun place!! Wyatt and Sloane both enjoy it SO much.

This is the best picture we could get of them together...bottom left corner will complete the group ;)

I can't believe I am posting this picture. We are just keeping it real folks!?!? I have to have this documented...this is Wyatt's new look. Hands on his hips and tapping his foot, I PROMISE I do NOT do this!!!! I have no clue where he got it but it's hilarious!! Mark hates it. LOL!

Wyatt hasn't ever liked "dressing up" or wearing any sort of costume. These costumes are there every time we go but for some reason this was the first thing he went to when we got there.

Sloane doesn't mind just getting up there between the boys.

This face....

It's the same little helper each time and she comes up with a fun seasonal craft for the kids. It's always so cute. Wyatt loved sitting with her and completing his craft. ;)

This girl has no personality right!?!?!?

We love the creation station and are so glad Frankie and Colton got to join us for some fun!!
Thanks for the invite Erin. ;)

Bring on the Summertime...

A few nights ago we thought it would be fun to take the kids to get snow cone.  There is a little place near our house and we have always wanted to try it. There were soooo many options...we asked Wyatt what kind he wanted, "me want blue."

Blue...really!?!?!? Ya, so blue it was...

Daddy ordering the snow cone...

Sister loved her some blue snow cone...

Buddy loved it too!!!

Daddy isn't a really big fan of snow cones but we still enjoyed the family time. We sat in the back of the Yukon and enjoyed each other. It was a perfect ending to a great weekend!

(Please take note of sis and her already perfected "cheeessseee.")

Happy 3rd Birthday!

Dear Wyatt,

     35 weeks prego           newborn             1st b-day                  2nd b-day             3rd b-day
     (and some people
       claim they were
         HUGE, HA!)

Today is the day..."your happy birthday!" My heart could seriously explode with the amount of love I have for you. Each day you continue to get a little sweeter, which I didn't think was even possible.
*The other day at Creation Station one of the employee's (who doesn't know us) approached me to tell me she could tell you had a sweet spirit. She said "I can just tell by looking at him and watching him he is so sweet..." She is SO right! *
You have grown so much over the past year. Sadly I don't think there is ANY baby left in you. ;( Just in the last few days we have been pretty serious about the potty and it seems to be going well. You sleep in your own bed....all night!!! Honestly I thought we would be moving you to college in our bed. Ha!!! J/K
Talking...oh the talking...I LOVE IT!!! There are moments when I would do pretty much anything for one min. of silence but who doesn't have those, right?!?!? I can't even count the amount of words you can say. You do also say sentences as well. I am not going to lie, you did the have "teacher" part of your mama worried for a few months but then all of a sudden...you were talking about everything. LOL! I knew I could say talking when I no longer had to help others understand you. Don't get me wrong there are still LOTS of things we have to ask you to repeat but you know EXACTLY what you want. If the words don't cut it you have actions until we get it right!
I am not sure your height or weight but I would say it is pretty average. You wear 3T shorts and shirts. Winter ended just in time though because the 3T pants were getting a little short. ;) Diapers you wear a 5 and sz. 2/3 underwear. Your shoe is getting really close to a 9 but we can still get away with a few sz. 8's.
You are obsessed with Monsters INC., Ninja Turtles, and Batman right now. You want anything and everything. If you can have LEGOs with any 3 of those characters you could (and do) play for hours. Speaking of playing...you are just like your dad (so I am told) and can play alone forever! You are so creative and I can only imagine that little brain is going non-stop.
We are very careful with our words and actions as you listen to everything people say and do around you. You have gathered a few "bad words" (darn you A Bug's Life) but I think we took care of it pretty quick. If only I knew this would be the last time something "that didn't make Jesus happy" came out of your mouth...
Mommy and Daddy went on an anniversary trip and you stayed with Eesie and Poppie. They say you were very well behaved and enjoyed your time! We are so blessed we are able to do this and that you have such amazing grandparents who we can trust!
Your hair grows SO fast. I think you and Daddy get a haircut about every 4 weeks. It's crazy...between the rate of your hair, your eyelashes, and that sweet sweet heart I have a feeling we might have to keep you far away from any girls in the future. ;)
Speaking of girls, you and your sister are so cute together. Recently she has started "fighting back" which has been quite interesting...and funny! LOL! You guys love playing together and can make each other laugh like no one else can. I pray this relationship does NOTHING but grow stronger and stronger daily.
We signed you up for preschool in the Fall '13. We decided to only do the 2 days a week program this year. Since you will have 2 years of preschool then one year of pre-K we didn't want to do too much too fast. We are really excited for you...you love to learn and also love to play with others so it should be interesting to see you in a classroom setting, especially for your teaching mama!!
Wyatt, your Daddy and I love you so very much!! Words do not even begin to explain the love this mama has for her child. You (and Ryder) made me a mama...I love you my baby boy!!! Happy 3rd B-day!!!
Love,
Mama

Last Tuesday...

Last Tuesday the kids and I headed to Jackson for the day! We hadn't visited in a while so we loaded up after they woke up and spent the day there...it was so fun! We visited Eesie's "duck park..."

Baby Zetta got to spend the day with us too! (And Aunt Erin...)

We took advantage of the amazing sunshine and played at the park for a while too!

And what visit to see Eesie would be complete without a little froyo?!?!!?

This is one of my new favorites! ;)

I saved the best picture for last....this melts my heart! It's days like last Tuesday that I am reminded how blessed we really are!!! Thanks Mom and Aunt Erin (and Baby Zetta) for an amazing day! We love you!!

It's been 10 years...

Over the weekend we participated in the fun and celebrated Mark's 10 year class reunion. It was such a GREAT time. He went to a really small Christian school so it was really neat to see "getting together and catching up" as such a big priority to him and many of his classmates. So fun!!! Saturday during the day was a "family time." Kids, spouses  and classmates all spent time together at one of their classmates home. She so graciusoly opened it up to us! We had a blast...the weathers was *pretty* good so we spent most of the time outside. The kids LOVED it so much! They had a big swingset/playground area and lots of outdoors toys. It was perfect since Wyatt and Sloane love being outside SO much!

This pictures was using the self timer...

We spent the afternoon as a family with everyone. We enjoyed lunch and "catching up!" We loaded up around 2pm and headed to Mark's parent's to drop the kids off for the night. The evening event was dinner/drinks at a nice restaurant on the "Loop." We knew it would be a late night and thought it would be fun for the kids to have a fun night at Maw Maw and Paw Paw's house. They had a blast...as usual...a few photo's we were sent:

After we dropped them off we headed home to get ready. I didn't take many pictures throughout the evening ;( but I do have a few...

We had a blast! It is hard to believe next summer we will be attending my 10 year class reunion. ;)
