Happy New Year's Eve and my January Bucket List

First...Happy New Year's Eve:

We plan to party the night away with our BFF's and the littles. ;) We have some fun things to do with them and some pretty fun things to do after bedtime as well! What more can you do when you plan to ring in 2014 with a 1, 2, and 3 year old?!?!?

Erika and I have slacked a little bit when posting our monthly "bucket lists" but what better month to step up our game and create a post?!?! ;) I feel as if I always have an ongoing list of things to do throughout the holiday season but when January comes things start to slow down a bit. This January is no different...so I have come up with 4 things I would like to do:
2 with the littles
2 for Mark
1 for myself

As this year begins I have really thought a lot about some goals for myself in 2014. I wanted to create a "mission statement" (if you will) for 2014 so here you have it:

"Live simply, be intentionaltreasure the moment, while having less but doing more for him (Christ) ."

As we know months come and go so quickly. It seems we are all about the NY Resolution for a few months but then the hype kind of dies off. Instead of creating a HUGE resolution per say I created the above statement. I hope to remember this for myself throughout 2014.

Ok, now onto my bucket list:

January

For the littles...
1. take them to the Magic house at least 2 times
2. begin planning/creating/gathering the dry erase "quiet books" materials

For Mark...
1. Pray for him daily. My heart has been heavy about this...so often we seem to get caught up with things going on around us and I feel as if I fail at my job as a wife. (by my own expectations) The Lord calls us to put our husbands first...even before our children, this is hard but true. I am going to follow this calendar I found on Pinterest for the month of January.

2. Begin "a portrait a week" project, using Mark-my Mr.

For Myself...

1. begin and finish a book
I have one ready and waiting in my bedroom I just need to crack the cover.

What things do you have on your January bucket list?
