A fun Zoo afternoon ;)

Yesterday when the kids woke from their naps (yes, they BOTH slept) I knew we needed to run off some energy if I wanted 8pm to be bedtime. ;) They both LOVE the zoo and we have such a great one I decided to load up and go! It was a blast. We were in no hurry except that once we got there we only had about an hour because it was closing time but we didn't care. Wyatt created his list of animals he wanted to see before we even arrived....

For my birthday every year Maw Maw (Mark's mom) gets me the membership to the zoo...it's one of the greatest gifts! We use it year round and participate in so many of the fun zoo events throughout the year! Wyatt thinks he is a tour guide when he goes to the zoo lately...yesterday he was teaching Sis all about the bears and telling her about the railroad crossing. Ha!

Yesterday we rode the carousel too! It's really not something we do very often when we go...Wyatt hasn't ever wanted to so we haven't ever pushed it. He asked yesterday so we tried it. The LOVED it!! The both already have their animals picked out to ride the next time we go!

It's like I blinked and this kid is turning into a little boy...there is NO baby left in him. Not to worry though his Sis has enough to keep us all busy! We have moved to the crazy smile instead of the crazy eye smile...go figure I would have a kid who won't smile...right!?!?!? LOL! He won't be graduating smile school any time soon.

I think the penguins are their favorite animals to see...they were SUPER excited to see the new zoo card has a penguin on it as well! I love this picture so much! On the way home we stopped for a little treat! It was a great afternoon with them. These are the days I will look back and love!!! BLESSED!

  3. So sweet! Too funny, my little guy thinks he is the tour guide too when we go and HAS to be one holding the map :)
