BluePrint Cleanse

My friend text me and it said this..."I found a juicing detox and you are doing it with me." At first I was a bit hesitate, well to be honest I was. Ha! I am terrible at diets, detox, or let's be honest any type of "watch what you eat" type of things. ;(

This detox consisted of 3 days drinking six 16 oz. drinks a day. No gonna lie-it was tough! This actual cleanse can be purchased at places like Whole Foods and such. She found the recipe so we decided to would be cheaper to purchase the food and make the juices ourselves. We were right!
We website states it's about $65 a day to have the prepared juices delivered to your home. We spent a total of about $120.00, so only $60 apiece for the 3 days combined.

We made 1 day worth of juices on Sunday evening and then on Monday evening we made Tuesday and Wednesdays. Not gonna lie...it took FOREVER! The fact that it's the same 6 juices each day helped but it did take a while.

During the 3 days you can have green tea and chicken broth, some even added small salad without dressing (so a bed of lettuce  and plain chicken breasts at dinner. Monday I didn't add anything...I had the 6 juices and that was it. Tuesday was a bit tough. My mom and sister came up to visit and the kids wanted to snack a little more so I was a little more tempted. I splurged with a green tea in the afternoon with a spinach salad and a piece of chicken for dinner. I was on day 2 of no Diet Coke but to be honest my headache wasn't near as bad as I thought it would be. The spinach and chicken helped a bit with the terrible hunger pangs. Wednesday I had a training session at the gym (ya, I know...the gym?!??! Who is this crazy person!?!? LOL!) so looking back I am glad I had a little substance for dinner the night before.

Overall it really wasn't that bad. (Sorry if TMI but this isn't one of those crazy never leave the bathroom detoxes either. ) First and foremost I didn't die from lack of Diet Coke. ;) Second, it helped me realize the time of day I tend to snack more. I do also feel refreshed as well! I know I didn't have a crazy change of heart with 3 days of juicing but if all it did was "restart" my system and make me a bit more conscious of what I put in my mouth I think it was worth it!
