DIY Felt Creations

We have been pretty crafty lately...thanks to Pinterest of course! ;) One night I came across a really cool felt Christmas tree. After doing a little research I decided it would be really fun for Wyatt and I to make together. He and Sloane could decorate it as many times as the like!

We made a few plain ornaments but we decided to get fancy and paint some too! It was so fun!
I purchased the felt sheets to make the ornaments but felt by the yard to create a the tree.
I adhered the tree to a wall in our living room with 3M strips. (I should seriously take out stock in them.) Wyatt and Sloane spent lots of time playing with the tree.

After seeing how much time they spent playing with it I really wanted to replace the tree with something when Christmas was over. We decided on a snowman...

Wyatt helped choose colors, shapes, and such. It was a fun little project. He helped traced the big circles and even helped trace the small pieces too-we used cookie cutters to help. ;) We had a blast! I can't wait to make more felt creations.

  1. Love this. Maybe a jack o lantern for Halloween and a turkey with colorful feathers for thanksgiving.
    So much fun!

  2. What a fun (and relatively easy!) idea!I can't wait to try this out.

  3. Those are so cute, Em! I made the tree after you made yours in December, but love the snowman too! AND, I like that other girl's comment about the jack-o-lantern and turkey. This could get crazy!
