Choo Choo

We had another play date at the Transportation Museum last week. This time we met more friends! It was so fun. We played in Creation Station first...

Sloane made a friend too!

After the hour was up we headed outside to take a train ride. Wyatt wasn't to sure about it...

Once we got going he was t as scared though. I am praying it is no indication of how he is going to feel about the rides at Disney.

We had a blast again! We love the Transportation Museum.

Preparing hurts...

As I prepared my family to go on our family vacation I can't help but think what our life "would have looked like..." I think major events and holidays make me "think" a little more. I know it's crazy but it's true. As I pack the bags or as we prepare Wyatt for what is about to happen I can't help but think about what it would be like if we were preparing 2 little 2 year old boys to head to Disney. Oh how my heart longs for that. It hurts to long for something that is NEVER going to happen, something that is unreachable. It hurts.

I know it's healthy to travel together, to make time as a family, but it makes me think. I am sure we are having the time of our life and enjoying each other but wow...

Beach Vacation pt. 2

We "ate in" most of the nights as it is just easier to do with 3 children under the age of 3. The 1 restaurant we did try was "The Hangout." There was no one there (which always takes so much pressure off us...weird I know) It was a fun atmosphere...
It makes me laugh to look at these pictures. Caroline is pulling Tyler's glasses off...Wyatt is SOUND asleep and we never even removed Sloane from her infant seat. Gotta love family pictures!
Almost every morning while Lolo took her morning nap we took a family walk along the ocean. Wyatt would run as fast as he could while chasing the sea gulls,

Mark would carry Sloane during her morning nap...
and usually on the way back I was carrying Wyatt because his legs were too tired to walk another step...
Once we got back to "our beach" we could camp out at an amazing set up with shade, toys, and even a special place for sister girl!
Good thing she is a tiny little thing! She loved to spend time in this little tub. I know it sounds bad but it blocked the sun, wind, and even sand from her little body!

Beach Vacation pt.1

I can't believe it's taken me this long to post about our beach vacation we took the middle of September.  To say we had a good time would be an understatement. We went with my best friend and her family (Kelley, Tyler, and Caroline a.k.a. Lolo). It was so relaxing!
Tyler's parent's own an amazing condo in Gulf Shores (Just in case anyone is looking for an AMAZING vacation spot. The pricing is SO reasonable too!) so we planned a family vacation with the Dumey's and loaded the car.

The drive down there wasn't to fun. Sloane slept but Wyatt got sick and was running a fever most of the way. ;( It was really hard and sad to not be able to hold your sick baby that was running a fever because we were driving in a car. We thought driving through the night was a good choice. Oh well- We got to the condo the next day a little before lunch.

This picture cracks me up. Wyatt could see the beach from the balcony and this was his first sighting of the sand and water. It was hilarious. I am so glad to have caught his expression on camera!
After unloading and a little unpacking we headed straight to the beach. I know there are quite a few pictures but I don't want to miss any. After all...this blog is printed into a family scrapbook. ;)

No "first time on the beach" trip would be complete without being full bodied buried in the sand?!!?!? Leave it up to the Dada's....
I carried Sloane most of the time but I did set her down to snap a photo of her first time on the beach.
Gotta love her ONE long strand of hair.

Transportation Museum

A few weeks ago we had a play date with Ashley and London. It was so fun! We met at the Transportation Museum. I had only been there 1 other time when I was teaching and it was on a field trip. My oh my how quickly things can change. ;) Wyatt is OBSESSED with trains, airplanes, or anything that "goes" for that matter. He loves them...until you get close. It's really weird. We haven't really pushed the issue but this kid is a dare devil and to think he is afraid of a fire truck is so weird. Oh we'll-today he was a bit hesitant in the beginning but he got better as time when on.

We started the morning with an hour in the "creation station." Seriously the best place ever! This is for any elementary kid with a good imagination: so neat!

(Loving the panoramic picture on the new iPhone update)

The place was super fun! Wyatt loved it!!!!

So did little sister girl!

London and Wyatt had a great time playing together...she is such a sweet girl.

After the creation station time we headed out to look at the trains.

We took the little tram back to our cars. Terrible picture but its so "real!"

We love play dates!!!!

Boo at the Zoo

Saturday evening we went to the STL Zoo. It was the opening night of the "Boo at the Zoo" event. We try to go every year with the Dumey's and its always a blast!

(I hate that the pictures look like this...it's because there was a fog machine.)
Since my parents were in town for the walk and a 1/2 marathon they were running Sunday morning they were able to tag along. It was so fun to have them along. They don't get to do to many "STL things" while they visit because it seems like we always have other plans. It was an amazing evening with even better weather!

And just because I always enjoy comparing...Boo at the Zoo 2011

Remembrance Walk

Saturday was an emotional day. It was the first time Mark and I participated in something "publicly" for Ryder. It was the beginning of another part if me that needs healing. It was neat to gather with others that have felt somewhat of the same "loss" as us. It was peaceful. Some family and friends attended the walk. It is my goal to have a larger group next year.

There was a ceremony before the walk. They read the names of all the babies as we released balloons into the sky.

Wyatt loved it...

His face is so sweet. He is so precious to us. I have mixed emotions sometimes when I look
at him and know there should be another little boy JUST LIKE HIM running circles around me. Yesterday it made me smile to look at his sweet little cheeks, and hers too!

Mark's cousin made buttons and had hand made pin wheels from felt to wear during the walk.

The walk was along a beautiful lake and the weather couldn't have been better.

After the walk we snapped a few group photos-

We had everyone back to our house for lunch and to hang out! It was such a great day. Thanks to all those who walked, donated, prayed, and thought about us on Saturday. We are blessed!

Dr. Daddy (Graduation Day)

August 25th, 2012 was a day Mark and I had been looking forward to for almost 5 years. It was the day he crossed the stage, was hooded, and officially was FINISHED with school! It's actually still really hard to believe he is finished. Mark was in school when I met him almost 8 years ago...we know nothing but him being in school. It's so weird when he leaves for work each morning...he is finally the real deal! Ha!!!

The ceremony was unbelievable. It's so classy with bag pipes and all...

Wyatt was a perfect little angel the entire time. He watched so intently...
It was a little windy but such a beautiful summer day!
Family photos:

And one extra because it's way too cute not to add...

It was such a great day! We are so proud of Mark and his accomplishments. If you are in the STL area and are in need of an AMAZING Chiropractor send me an e-mail and I can give you the office info. ;)
