7 Links

So...I have been "tagged." My friend Ashley tagged me this "7 Links" post. I haven't ever seen this before so I decided to give it a try. It's crazy to go back and read some of my posts! It seems I just started blogging but then when I go back and read it was so encouraging. It's so neat to see pictures of Mark and I, our home, Wyatt, and even to read about things we have done. It really affirmed my love for blogging. ;) are the rules:

1) Blogger is nominated to take part

2) Blogger publishes his/her 7 links on his/her blog – 1 link for each category.

– Your most beautiful post

– Your most popular post

– Your most controversial post

– Your most helpful post

– A post whose success surprised you

– A post you feel didn’t get the attention it deserved

– The post that you are most proud of

3) Blogger nominates up to 5 more bloggers to take part.

4) These bloggers publish their 7 links and nominate another 5 more bloggers

5) And so it goes on!

My most beautiful post would have to be this one. It has no words. It doesn't need words.

My most popular post was this one. I guess by popular it that means it had the most comments!?!? Well my blog isn't really that "popular" so this post had 22 comments. (that's the most I have ever had) This one came in a close second with 20 comments.

My most controversial post...hmm...honestly I don't know. I don't think I have ever had a certain post that I remember any comments "from the other side." I don't really tend to write those kind of posts either. I feel I write about us and what we do but don't really ever just write to inform or discuss controversial issues. It's kinda the same for my everyday life too! I really try to stay away from drama. I am "high-strung" enough, I don't need the help from other to get me all worked up. Mark and I make decisions based on when we feel the Lord is wanting us to do. I don't feel it's my "place" to try to tell others what is best for their lives. EVERYONE's situation is different. (Wow, that might have been the most controversial thing I have said. Ha!)
*Off my soap box...onto the next one.

My most helpful post was this one.  I wrote it recently. It helped me to even write it. I don't know how many people felt the same way but from comments I feel some did. ;)

A post that surprised me was this one.  I think only because of the amount of comments. I remember being excited about it. The picture was one of the very first pictures of Wyatt and I just hanging out. I remember that evening walk like it was tonight, so special.

A post that didn't get the attention I thought it deserved was this one. It was one from my beginning days of blogging. Like when I wanted all pictures to look like we had a clean house 24/7 and such. HA! It was a house post...I love the house posts.

The post I am most proud of is this far! It's so special to me. We even won Mr. Wonderful for it. I took lots of time on this one. I even edited the pictures. Whoa!!! ;)

Show Us Your Life-Baby Showers

Kelly's Korner was "Show us your life-baby showers" this week. it seems I am at that point in my life where every time I turn around there is a baby shower. So sweet and fun!! Such a celebration of life with the ones you love. I know sometimes people dread "going to another shower" but now that I have my own it's such a joyful time. I just remember how happy and excited I was and love being there for others. Baby shower was way more fun than wedding ones I think. :)

Because I live 2 aways away from my family I always have more than 1 shower. I hate asking people to travel so I just go there. Jackson I had a church shower and a family/friend shower at my great aunts.

Church Shower: Thing 1 & Thing 2

#2 at Home-Animals (to match nursery):

St.Louis shower, friends:
(it was at a local restaurant)

The last one was at my MIL, it was also safari animals:

We are so blessed to have such great family and friends. Wyatt was so spoiled before he was even born. ;)

I can't believe it....

I can't believe that it's almost been 10 days since my last post. I don't know if that has happened before. I hate it...if it has it hasn't been many times. ;(

Mark and I made our IKEA Chicago trip late last week. Without boring details it was the CRAZIEST trip ever. We are still dealing with stuff late this week too. Oh well....part of running your own small business I guess. Anyway we are just praying it will pay off this month and earned us a little extra cash. We shall see!??!!?

Kelley and Tyler welcomed Little Caroline into the world on the 24th...was that just yesterday? Yikes, seems like forever ago and I wasn't even the one in labor. Mom and baby (and of course dad) are great! Caroline was 9lbs 4oz, Kelley is AMAZING and such a trooper!! A natural birth for her, pretty sure she earned a metal. ;) Caroline is so sweet. It's so funny to me holding a 9lb baby. Wyatt was about 5 lbs when we brought him home so she seems so big! I just love her little cheeks!! Such an exciting time....

Wyatt was so sweet with her. We were all in the room chatting and she started crying. We got quiet and Wyatt immediately looked around, she was up in her little bed so he couldn't see her, he raised his arms, looked at me and said "dog?" LOL!!! I picked him up to see her and he used only 1 little finger to touch her. ;) So sweet!

Shop till you drop!

Last Friday was my b-day!!! I had a great 26th birthday. I am officially in my "mid-20's." Ha ha!! Every year (since I was 10) I get to take a shopping trip with 2 of my aunts and my mom. We started this tradition when I turned 10. My sister got to begin her trip when she turned 10 and same for my cousin. It's really a fun tradition. We don't get to go on each other's's all about the b-day girl! ;) This year was a little different. One of my aunts couldn't go...first time in 16 years we haven't done it the same way, change is hard...but since she couldn't come and since I live a few hours away now I decided it would be fun if my 16 year old cousin came along. We had a GREAT time! I wish we had taken pictures of us each year, wouldn't that have been fun to compare. HA! Oh well....I only have one picture.
My mom and I after our P.F. Changs dinner. Yum yum, one of my favorites!

Wyatt hung out with us for about half the day then Mark picked him up when he got out of class. We didn't get home until about 8pm that night but Mark had Wyatt awake for me so they could give me my presents. ;)
Wyatt is so thoughtful of his mama's sweet tooth....
I love it!! I real Jelly Belly have to have $$ and all! ;)

Mark got me an awesome pair of TOMS shoes. We both have a pair and we even got Wyatt a pair a few weeks ago. A girl can never have enough shoes....I love them!!!
I had to get a picture with Wyatt but he was in such a silly mood....he looks so long in these pictures?!?!

It was a great 26th B-day!!!

Over the river and through the g-ma's (and g-pa's) house we go!

This weekend was a BIG "first" for Mark and I Wyatt. Wyatt spent the night at my parent's...for 2 nights!! We had an incredible busy weekend and not much of it was kid friendly. (By that I mean none of the activities planned would have been fun for him, not that we were "going wild." HA HA HA!)

Saturday morning I went to our monthly "mama" breakfast. It was so good getting to chat with everyone. We had missed a few months throughout the summer so it was nice to get back together. I didn't get a picture. ;(
We always eat at the same place at the same time. Creatures of habit I guess!?!? We meet at 9:30....11:30 came and went, we all looked at our watches and knew we had to face Saturday. LOL! Just kidding, it's just always fun to chat, eat, laugh....ya know!?!!?

Anyway, after breakfast I rushed home to pack Wyatt's bag. He spent the morning with Mark just hanging out at home. We ran a few errands and then loaded up for the trip to my parent's house. Wyatt slept almost the entire way. Phew! Mark can thank me and my psycho planning for that one. ;) We dropped Wyatt off and got him all settled in. Which doesn't take long considering he loves my parent's....and their pups! He was running all over the place.

Mark and I came into town to attend a surprise going away party for our friends. Malerie and Brent will be traveling with their jobs soon so another friend/family threw them a party! Neither one of them likes to be the center of attention so it was pretty funny to see their faces. Sadly though Mark and I didn't get to stay long because we had to be back in St.Louis that evening for EXPEDITEstl.

We grabbed a bite to eat and hit the road back to St.Louis. We headed straight to a radio station in Westport. We have a radio ad for EXPEDITEstl on a Saturday night trivia show and we were guests! It was so fun! I was REALLY nervous in the beginning but it was a lot of fun! I hope we get to do it again. We were the "real deal." The microphone, headphones, and sitting in the studio-SO COOL!

We didn't get home until 11:30pm, I might have fallen asleep in the car on the way home. Ooops, good thing I have a great husband. He carried me into bed and I didn't even move until I rolled over Sunday morning and looked at the clock. WE WERE GOING TO BE LATE FOR CHURCH!!!

I woke Mark up and we rushed big time to make it on time. We made it! I am so glad we make it such a  priority to go to church. We could have easily slept in...since it was just him and I....but we didn't! The sermon was perfect! I am so happy we were there. Right after church we met some friends for lunch at a fun deli close to Mark's school. I can't believe I have no pictures. I guess since I didn't have the CUTEST kid with me all weekend it didn't even cross my mind. ;(

After lunch Mark met some classmates at school to study. (this week is finals) I headed to Brittany's house to work on Elyse's baby shower. We made some really cute stuff! The shower is Sept. you will have to wait for those pictures until then! We finished up our crafts just in time to head back to church. Mark and I have been attending classes Sunday night at church. They are informative classes about the church...classes set up for people to attend before the join to fully understand what the church stands for. It's really interesting and so awesome how it's set up.

After the class we were wiped out! We hadn't been home since 8:30 that was almost after 7pm. (like I said...NOT a kid friendly day) We grabbed a bite to eat and headed home. Our poor pups had been outsude all day (thank godness it was BEAUTIFUL) so we took a walk around the neighborhood. It was a sweet time. It was just like the "old days" right before Wyatt was born. We walked the dogs almost every night. After a few rounds we came inside and Mark began to study. I went to bed and worked on a few projects in bed, ate a snack, and fell asleep before 8:30.

I woke this morning SO READY TO SEE WYATT!!!!! My dad dropped him off about 8:30am....he cried when Poppie left. ;( I guess he had a great time with my parent's.

They said he was great! (What g-parent's wouldn't say that!?!?!?) He played so hard. He helped Eesie water the flowers. They pushed him in their swingset a lot. He got to eat more ice cream than he does at home. Wyatt learned how to unlock and open their backdoor. ;/ YIKES! He had lots of snuggle time with Aunt Erin and Uncle Billy too!

This afternoon I was catching up on my blog reading when I came across this little post about wishes.  Natasha always has such cute was no exception. She posted about a few wishes she had but she did write this "disclaimer." :

"...granted, the above mentioned wishes {in no particular order} are way more than a standard genie will allow to be filled, but it's my blog and i can wish what i want--haha. i know some are real wishes, and some will never happen, but every once in awhile, it's nice to get lost in a land where you can just ponder away. if you could have your biggest wishes granted, what would they be?"

The post made me think....about my own wishes....she had a few good ones that I had to steal but I did have a few of my own too!

*I wish Diet Coke wasn't bad for me.
*I wish certain people didn't thrive on drama in their lives.
*I wish I could teach but take Wyatt with me everyday.
*I wish I didn't like Big Macs.
*I wish I had a window over my kitchen sink.
*I wish I like to run/work out.
*I wish there were good shows on during the summer.
*I wish I lived closer to my family.
*I wish my dogs could get bigger and smaller upon command.
*I wish Ryder was here.
*I wish people didn't act like life was a competition...we're all on a different journey and each and every one is incredible in it's own right.
*I wish I could relive about the first 2 months of Wyatt's life, I would have cherished it more.

*I wish I had chickens.
*I wish money grew on trees but no one abused it.
*I wish people would actually realize what it takes of someone to become a Chiropractor and not be so ignorant about it. (by ignorant I mean ill/un-informed of information)
*I wish there was a McDonalds within walking distance of my house...well, maybe not.

Those are a few of my wishes.....what do you wish for?

Splash Park....

Last week I spent a few days with my mom in Jackson. (my dad is at I went to hang with mom) Wyatt and I headed straight to the splash park on Wednesday! Saying Wyatt LOVED it is a complete understatement......
My sister, Pete, and my mom were all there too! Wyatt was a crazy kid....he wouldn't stop for ANY pictures....all he did was run around and put his face in all the fountains. Ha!

He wanted to go down the slide so was a little slide for kids his age. I helped him up the stairs and when I turned to face the slide Wyatt was going down head first....laughing the ENTIRE time. SUCH A BOY!!!

We are for sure going to have to go again before they close this season. He had a blast....I can't wait to take him again. Hopefully Mark will get to see him there. ;)

Turning 26.....

Happy Birthday to me....almost!?!? Ha! A few nights ago we celebrated my b-day with Mark's family. His parent's are going to be out of town and really b-day are just good excuses to get everyone together. (I mean who needs a party when you are turning 26?) LOL!

We had a great time eating dinner and just hanging out. Wyatt loves to play with his cousins. They all play so hard together. I think he was seriously sweating he was running around so much and laughing with them. ;)

The pictures are blurry because they are spinning around and around and laughing SO HARD!
Maw-Maw and Paw-Paw got in on a little fun too! Poor Uncle Kyle...

We had ice cream for dessert....

They had a new bowling game the boys had fun with too!

Aunt Shelly played CARS with Wyatt and Cruz too!

We had a great time...Aunt Kiki was there too but for some reason I have no pictures of her. ;( Hope you'll had a great weekend. Tomorrow is Monday again.....yuck! I hate Mondays....
