Show Us Your Home-Guest Bedrooms

I searched ALL my photos for last years "Guest Room" photos only to find out I didn't particpate in guest rooms last year. That's kind of a bummer because that room has been changed...well everything but the paint color. Oh well! When looking for pictures though I did find the pictures of what we now call the guest room BEFORE we moved in....take a peek....

Below is what the room looks like currently:

The small dresser is from Ikea but I didn't know it was going to be that short,oh well. The picture is a Wyland print and everyone has to have an aloe plant in their house! (Thanks Shelly!)
The picture was drawn by Mark's sister for my as a gift. She is amazing!! I painted this little table. I need to get a lampshade for the lamp. The antique lamp was passed down from my's over 75 years old from my mom's g-ma-Zetta Mae Tinkle :)

Almost 5 with Picnik

I am finally learning more fun things to do with my pictures...this could become an addication...if I had the time but I don't....why? Well, I take care of this little prince EVERYDAY....and LOVE every second of it!

Glazed & Confused

I am really bummed I don't have more pictures of this day. I got my new phone this day and somehow lost the pictures in the uploading...Mark and I were able to take Wyatt together to this fun pottery place ( I have posted about it before ) and paint this plate. So cute!! It was a fun family day!

Eesie and Maw-Maw visit...yahooo!!

Yesterday was Tuesday, you know what that means....Eesie visits!!! We had a great day. Monday was a really hard day for me. I don't know, it comes in waves and Monday was bad. It was great to get to spend a day with my mom. She is too good to me. (and Wyatt) She got here and hung out with Wyatt so I could clean my floors without making Wyatt scared to death. HE HATES THE VACUUM!!! Then we loaded up and headed to CPK {CA Pizza Kitchen}. It's our favorite place to eat and she had a coupon for a delicious piece of pumpkin cheesecake. SO. GOOD!!!

She had a photo shoot with Wyatt before she had been here 10 min. Gotta love g-mas!!! After lunch we decided to get our annual Christmas ornaments. We have done this forever and we didn't stop just because I got married. LOL! After much thought....these are the 2 we purchased today.

For Wyatt:
For Ryder:

Then when we got home we were able to have my mom take a quick picture as a family with our pumpkins. We forgot to do this at Sam A Baker, oops!

Mark's mom was gone all last week on a girls trip to CA so you know what that means....goodies for Wyatt. They always are so thoughtful! They know how much we love Zoo's and she does too so....the got to go to the San Diego Zoo!

The bib has a sqeaker!! So cute!!! He also got some cute clothes too!

I forgot to post my e-mail on the sidebar yesterday so....I think it's on there now. You can send your questions to my e-mail. When I get a few I will answer them together. :)

Ok, so I am up late and playing around with my blog design. NOT a good idea...I repeat...NOT a good idea. My dear friend Ashley has helped me so much with my blog but she is off having a ball in Disney right now (ha, just kidding Ash...I hope you are having a tremendous time) so I decided I could try it myself! NO WAY! So.....sorry it looks kinda funny. Sad part: it's going to stay this way until she gets back and gets time to help a sista out. :( So sorry ladies, at least you can read words!

Opening up....

Alright...I have been blogging for some time now and I think I have finally decided to open myself up for soem questions. Some of my fellow blog friends (and some RLF too!) have done this in the past. I guess we shall see how it works for me! I have added my e-mail to the sidebar ( You can e-mail me or add them as a comment to THIS post!
PS I am almost finished with my "birth story!" It's coming soon....

Pumpkin Carving

Growing up we carved pumpkins every year. We really didn't celebrate "Halloween" as much as we did fall. We attended a fall festival my church had and we did dress up...nothing to scary though! One year our family all dressed up as Wizard of Oz characters. HA! We always picked out our pumpkins one random day after school...the rule was "you can only get a pumpkin as big as you could carry to the car." What a great rule mom! By the time we could carry a big one it wasn't worth getting a huge one because of what it takes to clean it Mark had never carved a pumpkin until he met he join right in on the tradition.

This picture is from 2006
I didn't have a picture of us together from 2007 with our pumpkins...

 This is from 2007 too!
After we got married we moved the pumpkin carving location. We started carving them at Sam A Baker when we were all together. This is 2008.

None from 2009, I don't have any clue what happened. :(

2010: We carved again this year and Pete joined in on the fun! P.S. Mom bakes the seeds too...delicious!

 {if you didn't notice Mark has on the same hat from '06 and I have on the same shirt from '08...yikes}

Family Tradition-Sam A Baker weekend

Friday after Mark got out of class we packed up ad headed to Sam A. Baker State Park. We go every year as a mom's side of the family. They have been going before they were over 30 years! WOW, I don't think we have ever missed a year. It's a lot of fun. We stay in cabins with no tv and hardly any cell service. I didn't get the group shot on my camera :( but I did get quite a few pictures!
The kids (+ spouses & children)

Our family picture...first one with Pete as offically part of the family!!

Each morning we cook egg, cheese, & bacon sandwiches over the fire...this year my uncle made a grill top

P.S...yup, that's Wyatt ALMOST rolling over!?!?!?
So cute :)

Newlyweds :)

Show Us Your House: Children's Room

This week at Kelly's Korner is Children's Rooms. Wyatt's room has not changed much since the nursery debut but I thought I would post a few pictures anyway.

This is a picture from the hallway. Mark and I painted this wall by ourselves. I saw a picture online one night and decided I wanted to do it. We copied the picture a little but added our own touch too!

I like having special things on the top of his dresser. This picture has a coconut Maw-Maw & Paw-Paw (Mark's parents) sent from their recent trip to Hawaii. BTW:His sister painted this too! The piggy bank is from Wyatt's Great Aunt & Uncle, they got it from Nordstrum and they even personalize it there. Too cute! The frame is something we created for Wyatt's dedication. It's Mark's, mine, & Wyatt's hand print with the verse we chose for the boys.

Last Friday: Pregnancy & Infant Loss Remembrance Day

Pregnancy & Infant Loss Remembrance Day
Friday, October 15

Last Friday was Pregnancy & Infant Loss Remembrance Day. It was a tough day...just like any other day I was thinking about Ryder...a lot! We were at home for my sister's wedding weekend so the day was packed full of events.  A fellow blogger asked my permission to mention my blog in a special post. Here is her link here. It's been a few days so if you would like to read her post you will have to go back to October 15th, last Friday. I am still working on the "boys birth story" but it's taking me a bit. It will post...someday.
