Show Us Your Life Friday

Today at Kelly's Korner it's Friday again....Show us your favorite things/Things that make you happy!!! There are lots of things that make me happy I didn't list everything, I just picked a few:

1. My husband & the wonderful relationship we have!

2. When one of my favorite songs comes on the radio and I can roll down my windows and turn up the music and sing along!
3. Our pups...the picture isn't recent but I love it so much because Logan is so little.
4. I don't have a picture yet but they already make me happy....the TWINS!!! (36 weeks tomorrow, wish they would hurry up and get here)

5. My family and Mark's family, they are always here for us. We are so blessed!

6. Right now, "Simply Lemonade" makes me REALLY happy!! I love it so much I can't get enough of it. I lost count of how many cartons I have had during pregnancy. :)
7. Christmas Time, oh it makes me so happy I start celebrating in October!!!

She finally lost that tooth!

Mark's brother's daughter HATES when she has a loose tooth. She is scared of her own blood...BAD! She will hardly even let any wiggle it inside her mouth. If you look closely at the first picture you can see the tooth is HANGING, really HANGING in her mouth. After days of wiggling and building my trust :) She let me in....Aunt Em pulled the tooth!!! YAHOOO!!!!!

35.2 week Dr. appointment

Yesterday was my Dr. appointment...for real! Monday I had major "prego brain" and went to my Dr. appointment only to find it wasn't until Tuesday. :( Oh well, it all worked out. My Dr. told me "Congrats, you are off my worried list." YAHOOO!!!! The boys could come ANY day now. I am 2 cm. dilated and 70% efaced (sp). I can't believe it. It's so crazy to think they could really be here ANYTIME!! Mark and I are so excited, we know it's going to be hard work but we are ready to meet "the boys." I know Mark is so ready to be a daddy too! Maybe this week I will have a chance to take a belly picture. The Dr. had us schedule an ultrasound with our Dr. appointment next TUESDAY :) IF we make it he said. LOL We shall see.....

Brother's Graduation Festivities

It's Monday already and I am just now posting pictures of my brothers graduation festivities. Mark and I traveled to J-town on Thursday evening to attend graduation. The ceremony had to be moved indoors. :( Graduation usually happens in the football field in Jackson. (Inside was probably better for me) After graduation Mark had to travel back home (about 2 hours) to go to school on Friday. I stayed with my parents so I didn't have so much time in the car. Friday afternoon after Mark got out of school he and his parents traveled back to Jackson for my brothers graduation party. It was a great time. It's always good to spend time with family. I can't believe my baby brother has graduated high school!!!!

Show Us Your Life Friday-Show Us Your Hometown

Welcome to J-town, also known as Jackson, MO. Jackson is located in Southeast Missouri. Money magazine ranks Jackson 59th best small town (under 50000 population) in the United States. Jackson is a city in Cape Girardeau County, Missouri, United States. The population was 11,947 at the 2000 census.

I know there are many people that live in "small towns" that are way smaller than Jackson but everybody knows everybody in Jackson. It's a welcoming place, a wonderful place to call your hometown. You can't go into WalMart, the main store, without seeing someone you know. (which could be good or bad, LOL) As for chain stores, there is a WalMart, Country Mart (I don't actually know if that's a chain), and a Rhodes gas station. Though it doesn't sound like a lot there are tons of local things to do. :)

A local restaurant: Tractors Bar & Grill (can't find a picture) :(

The train station

A public golf course: Bent Creek
A Country Club: Kimbeland Country Club
-My place of employment, I was the manager of the pool during the summer. Man, how I miss those days!
Many schools, including the "One and Only: Jackson High School"

The school is made up of many buildings but recently has undergone remodeling. This picture is what it looked like when I was there almost 6 years ago. :( Home of the Jackson Indians, it's somewhat like Friday Night Lights. The town pretty much shuts down for J-town football games on Fridays. Everyone of all ages attend, people have season tickets that they have had for years. The marching band plays every Friday night...the announcer has been the same for years..."that's another Jackson Indian first down!"

Some people call the children in Jackson "boomerang kids." Meaning...they all rush away after high school to try to get out of town but most find their way back. :) The pride runs deep.

Happy Friday!!!

Happy Birthday Dad!

Today is the "Big 50" for my dad! He was traveling today for work and was able to stop by. It was fun to get to see him on his b-day! I love the times he stops by and it's just me and him. :)
It's late so I need to get some sleep, busy next few days. Doc said I can travel to see my brother's graduation! Praise the Lord....I will post tomorrow about the appointment. (all great news)

Finally...the Nursery Reveal

Tuesday already...wow! Today we have another Dr. appointment, almost 34.5 weeks. :) I can't believe we are getting this close. I am so excited I can hardly contain it! My brother graduates on Thursday so...just praying the Dr. gives me permission to travel to brother's graduation then in my mind/on my calender I have made it to be a part of everything I wanted to...pray, pray, pray!! O.k. so like I said in the title...."Nursery Reveal!" A few weeks ago we had pregnancy pictures taken and Leigh also took pictures of the Nursery. Her pictures were WAY better than mine, that's why I waited to post, so I could post the pictures she took.

Weekend Recap...

I know it's already Monday night and I am just recapping the weekend. For not doing much I haven't felt like I have had time to post...oops. :)

On Friday night we went to my brother and sister-in-law's house for dinner. We had a great time. We played a new game, Monopoly Deal. We loved it so much we had to go get it to play Saturday night.
Saturday Mark and I layed low, we didn't do much during the day. That evening we went to his parents for dinner. We took our new game and taught them! So much fun! :)

Sunday was a big day for us! I had permission to travel from the Dr. so off to J-town we went. My brother is a senior in high school and will be graduating on Thursday so his Baccalaureate Service was Sunday evening. Not only did we travel to see that we also travel to see a BIG surprise transpire. My dad turns the big 5-0 on Wednesday and he had gone a weekend Harley ride trip with a friend, while he was gone my mom made plans for my grandpa (his dad) to fly in from CA and stay for 10 days!!!! We haven't seen my grandpa for over 8 years. Since he lives in CA and couldn't fly for a while it was hard to get to see him. My dad had NO CLUE! My mom kept the secret for over a month! If I lived at home there is no way I could have kept the secret, good thing I don't. We walked in the door....oh my!

My dad even cried...lol! It was so precious. I am so glad we were able to make the trip. What a memory. Mark also got to meet my grandpa...he had never met him before! :/

My dad is 1 of 5 so some of his brothers and sister were able to make it Sunday, the rest will visit in the next few days. My grandma also came for the event. There are no "hard feelings" there so all was great! Here are a few pictures from the afternoon.

After we had lunch and spent some time together throughout the afternoon it was time to get ready for my brothers Baccalaureate.
