Day after Christmas events...

Well, my posts are kinda behind the calendar. Today is the last post about our Christmas events (since I didn't want to forget anything). I guess tomorrow I will recap 2010 and then finish up my monthly detailed recapps. (All that was pretty much just putting my plan into writing so I don't forget...lol!) Enough gabbing....

Day after Christmas....

The day after Christmas was planned to be with Mark's immediate family of 5. With travel, other parties and events, this time worked out the best.

We started the morning going to church.  Mark's parents and brother's family attend the same chruch so Mark and I went their so we could all be together. After church we went to his parents house to open gifts and eat brunch.
I made monkey bread and mini-quiche. :) We had a great time and Wyatt, Mark and I...ha, had so much fun opening his gifts...

Christmas Day (Wyatt's 1st Christmas 2010)

Christmas Day...

Christmas morning we opened gifts together as a family...

We knew Wyatt would be so spoiled at his g-parents and aunt/uncles Mark and I kinda layed low. (someday we will have $$ to do more, not this year) He got a few different sets of stacking blocks/cups, a dino, Sophie's friend, Little Gym ball, and some special Gymboree bubbles! (this is listed for documentation)

Our cake we made together...all the colors represent something...

Later that day we  went to Mark's Uncle and Aunt's house to celebrate with his family....we had to have a picture in the snow, we had to document Wyatt's 1st Christmas was white!!!!!!!!!!

His new favorite thing to do it clap, he doesn't do it by himself yet but he loves to have help!

Watching it snow.....

Opening presents....so spoiled!

Game Time!!!!

What a fun day!! We were so tired when night came, so was Wyatt! Sunday we celebrate with Mark's immediate family of 5. Pictures to come....

Interruption: Christmas Post (Christmas Eve) & Faces of Hope feature...

I am going to interrupt the my review of 2010 and need to post about our Christmas, since it was Wyatt's 1st I don't want to forget ANYTHING!

Previously I posted about Christmas at my g-mas. They did an early one because we were not going to be there on Christmas Day and that's when we usually see everyone.

Christmas Eve.....
We started the celebration Christmas Eve afternoon. My sister and Pete came over and we opened presents with my parents. The Curtis family of 5 Christmas! It was so fun....

My dad surprised my mom with an iPad!!!!

My parents purchased a "cow" for Mark and I and Erin and Pete. They split the meat and we all have enough meat for the entire year. The gift that keeps giving for sure!!! My mom thought it would be funny to put a toy cow in our stocking to represent the meat. Ha! She is too funny!

My sister and I also got Vera aprons....

After opening gifts we went to the Christmas Eve service at church...my favorite part about Christmas...

After church we went back to my parents with my mom's brothers and their families! We played games, ate dinner, and opened gifts....

Mark and I left about 9pm and began our drive home. The weather was a bit scary in the beginning but it got better as we went. We made it home around midnight.....

I want to keep this link and mark when things like this are posted for my own self...today is "my story" on Faces of Hope. You can click here to read.

2010-April thru June

April
We were so busy. I having baby showers and we were trying to get the nursery ready too!

We celebrated Easter in April too. We were fortunate enough to be able to travel to see family.

My belly was getting bigger too....actually I don't think big is a good enough description word....

April also marked my last day of work.  I was put on moderate bed rest and wasn't able to work. Dr.'s orders were to lay low and take it easy. I did just that.....

May
May...May...May.....this month our lives were changes forever. This month we celebrated my dad's 50th b-day, my parent's 30th wedding anniversary, and my brother's high school graduation. I was able to attend, I was SO happy~

I was charting my growth weekly....

We finished up the nursery.....

My mom surprised my dad and flew my grandpa in from CA. We had not seen him in over 8 years...
And then at the end of the month....it happened...we had our babies. On the same day we welcomed one into the world....

....another went to heaven. We were together here on Earth for such a short time....
JUNE
June came so fast. The first few days were tough burying Ryder, packing items up, and fixing the nursery for one child instead of 2. Before we knew it though June was over.....there were SO MANY pictures taken during that month (and SO many visitors)....

My mom celebrated her 50th b-day too!!! What a great gift right?!!??! A GRANDBABY....

Also June marked the 1st Father's Day for Mark.....
