We visited our son

I am writing this because I want to document our lives...On Sunday, 3 months to the day Mark, Wyatt, and I visited Ryder at the cemetery. It was so hard. We cried a lot. Wyatt cried all the way there...when we arrived and found where he was buried we sat down. Wyatt stopped crying and started cooing and smiling so much. I believe he was talking to his brother. He misses him too! He was able to spend more time with Ryder than Mark or I. He has to miss his snuggle buddy! :) Mark's mom wrote a letter and his dad wrote a poem we took them to the grave site and read them to Ryder. Wyatt was dedicated to the Lord exactly 3 months to the day of their birth...the days fell this way. God made it that way, we had an Open House Sunday after church that evening we took flowers from the party to Ryder. We plan to visit him more...I pray the more often we visit the easier it will become. I want to hold him again.

  1. Thank you for sharing this - I've thought about how difficult it would be for you to have one precious son to hold while missing the other.

  2. Praying for you - I know this can't be easy and I'm so sorry that I mispelled Ryder's name on the Grieving with Hope book that we gave...please rewrite that for me as I don't want you to have something with the wrong name and I've wanted to apologize before but didn't know if it would make you uncomfortable. Love you girl.

  4. I cant imagine the pain that you feel. It has to be tough and only God know the things you need to comfort you. I admire you for your strength. Keep letting him wrap his arms of comfort around you. Praying for you always.
PS... You were on my heart all weekend and I prayed for you alot. Didnt know exactly why, and even thought of emailing you today to let you know. Now I know why...

  5. A word from the Lord:
Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your request to God. And the PEACE OF GOD, WHICH TRANSCENDS ALL UNDERSTANDING, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.
    Philippians 4:6-7
True peace is not found in positive thinking, in absence of conflict, or in good feelings. It comes from knowing that God is in control. Let God's peace guard your heart. Usually in circumstances that do not seem to make any sense are the times we must truly seek peace that transcends all understanding.
    I love you,
    Mom
