A friend of mine, Brittany and I decided on Monday to have a fun craft day. Once I finally met her (I was an hour late because of a crazy issue at the bank) :( we walked around Hobby Lobby for a while. We love that place so much! I could spend days and tons of $$$ there. Anyway, we really wanted to make a fall wreath. We are both "bloggers" and have read many ways to create one for cheap. So....we tried.....
We bought the wreath for $3.99 and then got 40% off (thanks Brit) from a coupon
We also purchased a small "floral bunch" for $6. It was $11.99 but 50% off so....This wreath was less than $10!!!!!
I have been finding really cute iron-on's for Wyatt to make some fun clothes. :) I had an idea...while searching Etsy I found an applique (sp?) and thought it was so cute...instead of buying I just made my own. The giraffe is the one I cut out of fabric and made my own iron-on. Fun right?!?!? (many more to come)
Then...the accident...AHHHHH!!! This is a result of putting my phone on the door of my car...bad idea. It fell out as soon as I opened it. :( That's $100 $$ down the drain.
This week the featured room is the Master Bedroom:
That's about it. :) The view is from the doorway. Our dressers are from Ikea. I recently repainted (yes, since Wyatt has been born) I only painted the 3 light colored walls. The navy wall was there from the previous paint job. Above each dresser are pictures us each of us with Wyatt in the hospital. I have new one to have printed but haven't done it yet. :( The bedspread is from Target...it was on sale...I change that quite often so I can't spend to much on it. We do have a T.V. in the bedroom and it's mounted on the wall at the foot of the bed, the closet is also on that wall.
That's the master bedroom folks...have a happy Friday and a great weekend. I am throwing Bachelorette Party #2 this weekend...for my wonderful sister!!! Can't wait!!!
I can't remember if I have mentioned we FINALLY started our cloth diapers. I. LOVE. THEM. Yesterday we made a trip to Cotton Babies to ask a few questions and get a few "kinks" worked out. While we were there we splurged and got a few new items. Wyatt got his first little pair of Robeez shoes. He is too cute. They reminded me of the Adidas "samba" look that Mark and I have both talked about wearing as a kid.
I love them so much...we tried them out today! He didn't kick them off, he didn't throw a fit when I put them on and they stayed on until I took them off. :)
We also got a BinkLink...there were only a few to choose from in the store but I looked online and found lots....hmm....:)
Just thought you'll might enjoy some cute sites. :) Today Wyatt and I went to Whole Foods to get a few items. Now that I am at home I have been able to create lists and travel to multiple grocery stores and get the best deal. Tonight we are having fish, asparagus, and a pasta salad. :) Can't wait....
Saturday was my best friend's Bachelorette Party...I am the Matron of Honor so I had quite a bit of planning. :) It was so fun and really got all of ready for the wedding! October 2nd can't come soon enough...
Wyatt's cousin Ariel is playing soccer for the first time this year. It's been so fun to go watch her games. :) I amde Wyatt a shirt a few weeks ago to wear to her games. She had a weekend off then a rainout so it's been a bit since her last game. Poor Wyatt's shirt was a little tight, he's a growing boy. Ha!
Mark's parent's have season tickets to the Cardinals games. We love to go! Mark and I used to go a lot...I am pretty sure we made it to almost 4-5 games before Wyatt was born which is saying a lot considering I was HUGE and he was born May 30. It's been really hot and he has been to little but finally we had a chance. :) It was a great night and Wyatt was AMAZING! The Cards haven't really been on their game but Thursday night they finally pulled out a win. (maybe he was their good luck charm?)
Kelly at Kelly's Korner is starting "Show Us Your Life" again! She has done the "Show Us Where You Live" before but it's been a while and it's back by popular demand. Ha! This week is living rooms. Mine has changed a bit but I coudn't find pictures from last time. Oh well...:( My photo albums have been taken by baby!!! Ok so................
View from the front door: Our kitchen isn't big enough for a table so we have an area in our living room sectioned off.
Fall Decor :) Shimmering pumpkins...LOVE IT!
Our new entertainment center...maybe a little more childproof :)
Tuesday night my brother participated in a Demo Derby. For those of you who don't know...the participants drive around and smash into each other in cars. WOW, I know....hence the title of this post....it was crazy and scary to watch...but some good ol'southeast mo fun!!! This was the first time he had ever done anything like this...he and some friends got a wild hair and built this car from NOTHING, it did. not. run. before they started about 6-8 weeks ago! At first we were just hoping he would make it to the start and maybe get one hit...he ended up winning 3rd place! It was so fun to watch him! WAY TO GO BROTHER! (it did make for a pretty late night for Mark and I though, we didn't leave to head home until about 10pm with a 2 hour drive ahead of us. He had class at 7am but IT WAS ALL WORTH IT!)
