Day 19-A Talent of Mine

Well, this was tough...I had to call the mother for this one. It's hard to talk about yourself...ya know!?!?! I would like to say teaching but I feel that is a gift. :) I have loved teaching since I could talk, well so they tell me. I had a pretend classroom and was teaching my little sister, all our stuffed animals, and imaginary friends since I could talk. I attended college and have a bachelors in Elem. Education. I taught 2 years...without going into detail...I am no longer teaching...I am taking some "time-off" to raise our child...someday children. Ha! As much as I love to teach, even though I am  CERTIFIED and QUALIFIED I would not home school my child. I am their mother, not their educator. We feel there needs to be a separation. (to each his own though) We do plan to send them to a Christian school but right now we have a 11 week old and I do NOT dare want to decide about his school now. We have plans but so does God. (Pretty sure I once read a book called "we plan, God laughs.") Anyway....back to the post...a talent of mine....I decided to make this kinda cheesy..I have a talent...that talent is to be my nieces "FAVORITE FAVORITE PERSON!!" Gosh, I just love her! She started Kindergarten yesterday...ahhh!! When I met Mark Ariel was only 4 months old, she is the first baby I have been able to watch grow and be SO close to for this long period of time. :) She means the world to me...recently she told me I was her favorite person...she melted my heart! Her smile, her voice, and her cute words have helped me through so much lately...I love you Ariel!!!

My talent: Being an Aunt...her favorite person!!!

  1. Ariel is adorable! She looks like her mom from the pictures you've posted of her!

  2. I never thought I'd homeschool either...We had Heather signed up for a Christian private school...BUT God spoke loud and clear to us. We're just trying to be obedient to what the Lord told us to do...
