Day 18 and let's get ready to go!!!

Yikes...Day 18-Your wedding! Whoa!! This could be is a long one with some lots of pictures! I loved my wedding day. There is nothing I would change. I would do it all over again in a second!! My mom and I were the planners...we did hiring someone for us! I knew what I wanted and I am a little OCD when it comes to having someone complete something that means so much to me. Others say they don't want that stress on their day but it would STRESS me out WAY more to let go and let someone else do it!

Thursday the set-up started. We had many friends and family there to help. It was so fun! We set up the church in the morning and headed to the country clue that afternoon and evening. Fun fun fun!!

We had our rehearsal Friday night and we were able to have dinner at the same country club as the reception! So was a great time with our closest family and friends!

We were married in a church, as you can tell, and had a reception immediately following in the fellowship hall. This was set up so beautifully! The center pieces were evergreen trees and were gifts to our aunts and uncles. There was a string quartet for music, cake, and punch!

Mark and I had a winter wedding, January 5th, 2008 to be exact! :) We were married in the afternoon. We used mostly evergreens with white lights as decor. The bridesmaids (all 10) carried red roses and I had white. The bridesmaids wire black floor length dresses with a small black belt. The groomsmen (there were 10 but 9 in attendance, there was one in the military) wore tuxes with silver vests and ties. Mark wore white. The users (4) wore tuxes with red vests and ties. The candle lighters (4) wore tea-length black dresses with red accents. If I could say so myself...STUNNING! Mark's sister played the piano, we used songs from each of our parent's weddings. We had an awesome oil unity candle, which my mother in law purchased so we could keep forever! We had a slideshow of childhood and our time together. We had a special time where I presented Mark with my "True Love Waits" ring. Also the pastor who married us was GREAT! He didn't just read vows...he talked to everyone that day. So special...he even gave us the copy of all the words he spoke on our day. :)

I don't have as many pictures saved on my computer as I would like from the actual wedding. :( I could only find one from the reception at the church!

From the church reception all the bridesmaids (their dates too) and groomsmen (their dates too) loaded a school bus (yes, a school bus...we couldn't find a limo that would hold over 22 people in Cape Gir, MO) and headed to the country club! There were almost 50 people on the bus...SO MUCH FUN!
We stopped at a look-out point over the river, it was just to kill time!

We had another recpetion for a close group of family and friends (about 250) at the country club! Let the party begin.....

Link up ladies....
