Weekend Recap

Wow, I feel like every Monday I start with the same sentence. "Wow...what a busy a weekend!" This one was crazy. First, Sunday marked 29 weeks...the most I have is 8 weeks left. That is so crazy to think about, actually REALLY scary to think about! We had a great weekend and were able to spend time with family and friends...

We were able to eat at a fun restaurant..."The Boat House" in Forest Park. We have tried to eat here a few time but it just hasn't worked out...Malerie and Brent have also tried to a few times to go so we were all able to go together. It was great fun!

Saturday afternoon I had another baby shower...crazy I know! (That's what happens when your family all lives in different towns.) This shower was at Mark's parents house, given by his mom and aunts. It was so nice. Mark and I have been so blessed through this entire pregnancy. Among many amazing thoughtful gifts, Mark's aunts got our car seats and my "teacher friends" filled a wagon with AMAZING items. We are ready to go now....:)

Then...it doesn't stop there....Saturday night....a bachlorette party! One of my friend's from high school is getting married in May (praying I can make it) and Sat. night was her bachlorette party. I went for a few hours but then had to GET HOME TO BED. I was so tired. It was so fun seeing all the girls that I hadn't seen in a while though.

I am beginning to look a little rough..it was a long day. LOL

Then came Sunday...Sunday morning at church was Baby Dedication. Baby Jacob...so cute....

It is so emotional. (maybe because I am pregnant) It's just so amazing to be able to be a part of our friends baby dedication. It really represents something so important and we feel so honored the Lord blessed us with such great friends at church. :)

It's not over yet...then after church Baby Jacob's parents had a BBQ for everyone. The weather was beautiful! We were only able to stay a few hours before we attended the LAST baby shower. It was so sweet. My 5th grade students (and their mom's) gave us a baby shower. Again, we are so blessed. Since I am not teaching there anymore it was so great being able to see/visit with everyone. I don't have the pictures from the shower yet.

We came home after the shower and spent 4 hours unpacking and putting away things from the shower on Sat. and Sunday, because I was caught up on Friday, and it looks like we didn't even make a dent! NOT KIDDING...

I am only putting this picture up so you'll will believe me...I don't want this to be the big "Nursery Reveal" so.....:)

Well, there is a weekend recap. I am going to spend the rest of today cleaning up the room, running errands and GOING TO THE DR.!!!! (yahoo, ultrasound today)

Happy Monday everyone!

  5. Wow! Sounds like you had a crazy weekend! How wonderful to have so many people in your life who want to throw showers for you!! It looks like you guys got quite the haul of stuff. Our last baby shower is this weekend and I'm really looking forward to it.

It's weird, isn't it, to think that come May, there's the possibility that we'll already be pretty much immobile due to these sweet babies growing inside! I'm like you-- I have to get home and go to bed early these days. No staying out late for me (even if it's for a really fun reason, like a bachelorette party!!).
