Wonderful Summer Afternoon

Today we went to the St. Louis Zoo! I love the St. Louis Zoo. Did you know it's one of the only FREE, yes I said free, zoo's in the U.S.? It's right here in STL! I love it! My mother-in-law just bought us a Zoo Membership. We are so excited! (Some background: Mark's family loves the zoo, he proposed to me there....) This summer I have had the opportunity to watch a boy form my 1st grade class and his twin brother. We have been many fun places but today we went to my favorite...the ZOO!!!! I put some pictures on here for your viewing pleasure....

Here are the boys!

The All-Star game was just played in St. Louis so this is displayed at the entrance to the Zoo.

All of us riding the train...

They were able to touch/pet the was so cool for them!

Butterfly house....amazing!
God's creations are so amazing. I love the zoo more and more each time we go! Ah!!!! Hope everyone was able to enjoy their summer afternoon as much as I.
P.S. Last weekend we were able to hang out by my in-laws pool, it made for a great picture opportunity, hopefully by tomorrow I will post some pictures..poolside!!!

"Show Us Where You Live," Wedding Dress Friday

I am always late on these posts but at least this time I am not a week late. It took me a few days to look through and gather some of my favorite pictures from the wedding. There are so many and I love so many of the pictures. I can honestly say my wedding day was one of the best days of my life. I do not wish any part of it would have gone differently. I loved going back and looking through the pictures, I can't believe it's already been over 1 1/2 ago! Wow, time flies! I hope you enjoy the ones I picked:

I had to begin with this picture. You can't really see everyone but I love it! We had a large wedding party. We have 10 bridesmaids and 10 groomsmen. :0

You can sort of see my dress in this picture!?!?!

Here is a better picture of my dress in full view. The dress was actually a prom dress in white. You can imagine what kind of deal we got on this....$$$$!!!!! It was strapless with a satin top and a pick up skirt. Each pickup was gathered with pearls and silver beads.

My mom helping me......

We got married in Jan. so after the ceremony I had a coat to wear from the church to the reception. It was a hit! This is Mark and I entering the reception.

A country club picture...

This is the picture we have big hanging in our living room. It is so beautiful!

Senior Picture Time

I know people always say time flies but this past year has truly opened my eyes to how quickly it can go. I have been home (Jackson, MO) for a few days. The reason I came: Senior Pictures. My brother, the youngest of three, had his senior pictures taken today. If I really thought about it, I would cry. I am the oldest of three. We are all three years apart. There is this "pose" we had taken of the three of us during my senior pictures, then my sister, and now my brothers. I will post some of the pictures asap. I have loved the time with my family. Mark had to stay back again this trip due to school again. :( This week in my hometown was HOMECOMERS. It's a small town fair. I love it!! I am so glad I was able to walk uptown and eat fair food! Gotta love small town J-town! :)

Orlando, FL

Weekend Getaway-Chicago (July 4th)

It's July~

Hey everyone! It has been so long since my last post. I can't believe how time flies. I have been enjoying my summer but I feel like I haven't stopped. My school year ended on a Tuesday. That week Mark and I left for Chicago with some friends. We spent 4th of July on the Navy Pier. It was so fun! We traveled home on Sunday night and I left for Orlando, FL Monday morning. I spent a week with Mark's entire family (Aunts, Uncles, Cousins) in FL. Poor him, he had to stay behind and go to school. Since I got home I have been doing small things around the house. I love summer...I am getting so excited for the school year ahead. I will post again soon with more updates, maybe I can even get some pictures posted?!?! :)
